We need a better bill than this one!

I don't share your assesment of what happened to our economy. There are LOTS of things that affected it & not just what Reich said happened in the 70's. Most of it DID happen because of the housing meltdown & BOTH parties are to blame! They had a chance to reign in these mortgage companies like Fannie & Freddie & they didn't. You can find anyone who supports your viewpoint. The real reason why the majority of Americans aren't supporting this stimulus plan is because there is too much pork & government involvement! It looks more like a government refurbishment plan & Dem wish list than a job creation or mortgage relief plan. Read the articles below about what's packed in the bill. More pork & payoffs then stimulus. THAT is why we are not getting behind this bill! It's not that we don't think we need a stimulus bill, but not THIS one! When will lawmakers get it that it's time to put partisan politics & special interests aside & just pass a bill that will offer true relief to the taxpayers, private sector & small businesses well as job creation & economic stimulus?

Read Bill Dyer's Article Refuting this one.

Hey Guys, read Bill Dyer's article refuting everything that David Talbot has written in this article! It's so false & distorted that another journalist (who actually knows Alaska politics) felt the need to set the record straight. This is purely a smear piece & shows Talbot's ignorance &/or bias toward Palin. Talbot, you either don't know the facts or you purposely set out to distort them! But then, I guess you're one of those media clones who are in the tank for Obama.

Duh?

Sarah Palin more politically savvy than you thought? Say it isn't so? Sounds like typical leftist politics to me. What are you whining about? Coming from a slash & burn, character assassination type of politics that you all espouse, don't you think it's a little hypocritical that you are accusing Sarah Palin of doing what you all have done to her & anyone who might get in your way of being on the wrong side of your politics? Sara's baby isn't hers, SNL jokes about Todd Palin & incest, criticism of having a downs syndrome baby & poor prenatal care, parsing every word she says but giving Biden a pass every time he opens his mouth & makes a gaffe. Hmmm, it looks like she can swim with the sharks after all! BTW, isn't is ironic that Obama's Senate win came on the heels of a perfectly timed scandal of his opponent's affair? Hmmm, we know that it's only a coincidence, don't we?
