like d'oh!

People really need to learn to read between the lines and beyond the hype. In this case, good job Salon and Mike Madden.

When the "controversy" jumped from the salivating mouths of the mainstream media I knew it was baloney and I didn't think any regular working stiff (sighted in the article) would think it's offensive.

Honest people answer with honest answers and understand straightforward talk...unless you push their hot buttons (a standard issue GOP trick). People like guns and religion and when the going gets tough, they grab both. Like duh.

Barrack Obama will emerge from this because non-media individuals will understand it was poorly worded honest at worse.

Frankly if this is all McCain and Hillary have on Obama, he'll do fine. In comparo -- McCain has Keating S&L, crazy "red button" temper nut job and warhawk written all over him...oh yeah, and he's a GOP.

How about some honest work?

Frankly it sounds like the job the LW hates so much (and the one before) is less then honest work (product, people and circumstances). Pretty typical for someone bright in their early 20s...i.e., an easy job to get by with that seemingly doesn't tax the psyche and soul but obviously compromises something upon real examination.

The LW should consider honest, humble work with honest, humble people to get some perspective on life and what work is all about. Something simple, that you like could be ideal...or NOT. Seems like honest and humble are more important.

You can call this little exercise a modern day Buddhist trick. To gain perspective, insight and all that good stuff, you have to do some work, real work. Honest, humble work tends to get you there the fastest...or you experience the therapeutic benefits of work...do enough of it and it clears the mind and gives you purpose.

Sometimes it's called a dumb, mindless job...and it could be the best thing to happen to you.

Lets hope it's over because the hacking at each is bad

I will happily vote for either senator, happily.

And while I appreciate and understand Sen. Clinton's fighting spirit, I get a sense of entitlement despite her being a historic candidate. Her campaign hasn't portrayed her well although the right wing media gets a major assist.

Time and a really, really weak, pro-war GOP will probably heal all Dem wounds, still I really, really hope the Florida and Michigan situation is not brought to a head...it has no-win powder keg written all over it.

If it does come down to a powder keg, grace, humility and approachability will/should win out and thus I believe Barrack Obama gets the nomination, at least I hope so.

If Sen. Clinton prevails in a fist fight, with some dirty tricks, I'm not sure she can beat McCain, even with the GOP war thing going on. The baggage and right wing pile on might be too great.

Well, at least it will be interesting, and historic.

To be sure of any of this, LW is going to have to sex with a guy

Seriously, until the LW has sex with a guy to find out what is what, he's just torturing himself and his family.

There's going to be guilt, some lying and all kinds of weird stuff but is there really a choice? I don't think so. So go have sex with a guy and get it over with.

Oh yeah, it doesn't have to be sleazy, leathered out or anything you don't want it to be. Join a LGBTQ "questioning" group and hook up with someone at your own speed or you can trust.

LW might turn out to be a real flamer, a fence sitter or really not bi or gay at all. Not going to find out without verifying matters.

Best of luck.

Jan of '13? - what convenient timing!

Yup, if Jan '13 is Crazy John's Iraq pull date, he'll be out of office, if he gets elected. Nothing like flip-flopping and setting a pull date for after you'll gone.

How freakin' convenient! Why not move up the pull date by 4 months, i.e., Oct '12. Yup...that would be a month before the next election.

In the case McCain does gets elected, and to a second term, it's too late. He'll be a lame duck and 80 y.o. He'll do nothing...or he'll drop a nuke.

Be scared. I am.

Is this really a "Jewish" question?

I suppose in reaction to GWB's baiting "appeasement" statement the question is legit. However as many have pointed out, Jewish voters are diverse and can make decisions without and despite GOP neo-con "decider" baloney.

If you ask me, a non-Jew, sure Israel is a factor to consider in voting for POTUS but it's not THE factor. THE FACTOR, this cycle, is the Iraq War and if the U.S., Israel or any country is better off because of it?

Giving this question more then a quick response, in context to bigger questions, is simply enabling the neo-con flop sweat crew.

The appeasement statement is a ploy, don't be played. Focus and save your energy for the big stuff, the war and the economy.

god damn it -- this is what the Fairness Doctrine was all about

This kind of baloney is so over the top, it's not funny.

All one can hope for now is that the weasel-pig aka Karl Rove falls on his own swords or swallows his own vomit and ruins his vocal cords and can't speak.

That's it, that's all I have.
