Watergate Cubed
[Read the article: The strong and tough Democrats]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]As diarist Bob Johnson pointed out on DailyKos, the Dems may have just signed their own political death warrant with this legislation. I've been concerned that the administration has been spying on its domestic political enemies -- if someone else can come up with any better reason why Ashcroft's panties were in a twist, I'm all ears -- and now we will never be able to find out.
Nixon used the entire national security apparatus to spy on his opponents. Anyone suggesting that the current bunch aren't doing the same is either a paid GOP shill, or a blithering idiot.
See you all in France.

I have a question
[Read the article: Col. Boylan's implosion accelerates]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Is Colonel Boylan writing these intimidating screeds on his own, or his he acting under orders? If the latter, then this just further illustrates the problem Glenn highlights. It think it would be worthwhile to find out.
Sorry if this question is redundant; I didn't have time to read all the comments.

I've been your biggest backer, but this time you're wrong
[Read the article: Ron Paul distortions and smears]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Glenn, you'd be much better off admitting you were wrong than to continue digging this hole.
Neiwert knows his shit, and his latest post pretty much destroys the central pillars of your argument.
Time to eat crow and move on.

Here we go again
[Read the article: Jonah Goldberg and Glenn Reynolds warn of "social unraveling" if Obama loses]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]At times like these, I find it helps to break out the dictionary:

What Goldberg and Reynolds are doing is signaling what they hope the right-wing will do should Obama win.
This is likely to be the ugliest presidential election this nation has ever seen.
