I guess Congress people who are supposed to bring federal funds home tho their respective districts, should just ignore things like roads, government buildings, jobs etc... that so called "earmarks" help create... Sure not all earmarks are good - but they are part of the legislative process. Earmarks are NOT what got us into this mess - and the only reason anybody cares about them now is because McCain ran his entire campaign on them - and the republican party needs SOMETHING to whine about.

Why don't we allow cops to preemptively confiscate all firearms? That would likely prevent far more deaths than torturing "terrorists". Let's also allow search and seizure without those pesky warrants. Much less harmful than torture.

What if it was your son or daughter? The concept of execution over narcotics transportation is absolutely insane.

This is a 20 year old woman, pregnant (likely from laotian prison guard / rape) and now they want to put her to death for being a drug mule.

People make mistakes, they should not have to pay with their lives for a mistakes this small.
