2 Times I thought McCain looked like he was going to go thermonuclear...
Once when Obama easily rebutted the Ayers BS. Then he really looked like he was going to loose it when the talked about the "fine" for not offering healthcare. When Obama said "ZERO" McCain looked dumbstruck.
I think it's not a good strategy to look totally surprised and irritated by everything your opponent says.
Obama was cool as a cucumber and that is just what we need during these times. We do not need a cranky hot-head who can't control his emotions.
Also, McCain just continues to spout GOP ideology non-stop... If he is such a change agent / maverick - why doesn't he tell us what he would do differently? We have hear all this Bull 1,000 times before and I think people are just sick of it.
I am truly beside myself - I knew the republicans were racist assholes... but I never thought they would be dumb enough to announce it in such an obvious and sophomoric fashion.
Maybe McCain should have a little soft shoe at his rallies - and then have Palin come out in blackface.
It truly saddens me that anyone with half a brain still belongs to this sorry shell of a political party.
Imagine if Obama's children saw this image - imaging having to explain that to them - how horrible.
Criticizing Palin for how she raises her children is not going to help us win this election. I can't stand Palin, but let's get on to another subject.
Besides, unless she's been beating them in public, it's none of our business.
... That Connecticut voters will have the last word on Lieberman? I mean, don't they feel duped into voting for this jackass over Ned Lamont?
I hope they kick his sorry ass to the curb when it comes time for his re-election.
... that this is a simple disagreement, and that Lieberman can believe whatever he wants to without being "punished"...
OK... Fine, If he had simply endorsed McCain - I would not really care about that. If he simply disagreed on the war - fine again.
But at some point, he stepped way over the line. Not only does he support McCain, but he slimes Obama, rips his own party on TV, and feeds into the hate / fear-mongering of the republican party. At some point - one has to draw a line.
As an example, Chuck Hagel disagrees with McCain on the war - but I don't see him running in front of every television camera in the country sliming McCain and insulting the rest of his party.
What Lieberman is doing is sad and embarrassing - and is only for his own benefit, not the benefit of his country.
You didn't really just cite Alan Keyes as an example of competent leadership did you.... really????
I think we can totally disregard anything else you might have to say from this point forward...
Alan Keyes... Bwahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!
The Trollz are out in force... they must have lost the hiding place under the bridge to nowhere...
Terkoy etc... go find another bridge to hide under - you can come back on the 5th so we can laugh you out of the room again.
Alan Keyes.... nuff said. lol.
... of the these comments from the wingers is not to tar the people that folks are voting for - it's to make the people who are voting feel guilty about those majority views...
Thi is similar to the "stabbed in the back" strategy by the Nazi's at the end of WW2. The GOP will claim that they were deserted, or that the populace was weak-kneed and gave up the "fight".
This is why even though McCain is sure to lose the election, he is trying as hard as humanly possible to de-legitimize an Obmam presidency while also drumming up hate for those that will vote for him.
All of this presages a very nasty term in office for Obama.
Also - one has to remember that the real "pros" at making the typical GOP strategy work are not actively working for the party this time around... The Tom Delays, the Denny Hasterts, the Karl Roves, the whole establishment GOP machine was kind of destroyed during the 2006 midterms in some ways...
In other words - all the GOP seems to have left to promote it's agenda and defend it's turf are second and third stringers. Amateurs. And it shows big time... Michelle Bachmann and her ilk are not as slick or nuanced as the previous GOP crowd.
The GOP has been reduced to a shade of it's former self and it will only get worse for them in November.
...should get together with the one who sent out the food stamp with Obama's picture on it...
They can form a club - Racist Assholes for McCain.
I can't wait to laugh in the face of these jackasses when this election is over.
... The Republican Party and the "modern conservative" movement will die anyway.
Let's face facts - If McCain wins, his administration is likely to be far worse than Bush's. He will likely start a war with Iran, further irritate our allies, and totally destroy whats left of the economy.
If McCain wins and dies in office... then Palin will be the final nail in the "conservative" coffin. She is nothing more than Bush in drag... an incompetent boob likely to screw up everything she lays hands on.
Let's hope that the American people don't get fooled again.
Get the hell out and vote... Lets throw the Republican party and the backwards morons that make up it's base an anchor.
