I agree that some are not fond of outsourcing for racial reasons...

But in the current economic climate, if there are not enough jobs for the people who live in the US and pay taxes here, then jobs should not be sent offshore. It's not a hard concept to follow... What is the point of living in a particular country if one can not be the beneficiary of what that country has to offer? If people from other countries want American jobs - they should come and live here and contribute to our economy with their earnings. Outsourcing is a race to the bottom and always has been... Indian tech workers make almost as much as their US counterparts at this point - so soon it will be Chinese workers and so on.

It used to be that people emigrated here for the great jobs and opportunity... now you just have to wait for some greedy company to set up shop in your 3rd world hell hole to pay you $4 dollars an hour to develop java programs.

... Ikea is great if you accept it for what it is... and if you stick to the better lines, the furniture lasts and takes a beating without costing a fortune. My wife and I furnished most of our first house there and we still have most of the furniture (which does not have any screws poking out or whatever).

And shopping there is a breeze - I'm not sure what you are moaning about.
