Think I need another drink

So, what you're saying is... there's blood on my hands too. Actually, this has been apparent for some time for those US citizens that are paying attention, but thanks for the additional evidence. Clearly our tax $ could be better spent.

Meanwhile, this is the kind of garbage that CNN publishes. These are excerpts from the same CNN article (1-15-09 ~3PM) describing the Gaza offensive. First quote is near the top of the article and the 2nd quote is buried deeper in the article:

'Heavy battles with Hamas militants damaged the United Nations' main relief compound, a foreign media building and a Red Cross hospital.'

then contradicting it's own BIASED analysis-

'NRWA Director John Ging denied there were any militants at the compound, and also said that at the time there was no fighting in the area.

Ging said UNRWA's headquarters -- located in a densely populated neighborhood -- was hit repeatedly by shrapnel and artillery, including white phosphorus shells -- the use of which is restricted under international law.

"It looks like phosphorus, it smells like phosphorus and it's burning like phosphorus," Ging said. "That's why I'm calling it phosphorus."'

We are a disoriented Nation-

The Israeli Propaganda Machine is in full force in this letters section. It must be a full time job trying to stem the tide of awareness of the Gaza crisis that is occurring in the world and even in the US. Average american citizens are starting to ask questions, like 'Why do we support this indescriminant killing? Who is paying for all of this? Where do the weapons come from?' Eventually these questions lead to more questions. Then, we are told to mind our own business and not ask too many questions.

when will this end?

There appears to be no end to this cycle of violence. Israel cannot really expect to crush the Palestinian spirit can they? Imprisonment, starvation, cutting off electricity and degrading treatment for years has made them capable of enduring incredible suffering. Of course they rebel against this treatment! Shooting down these prisoners within their cells seems to be the approach now. However, it cannot succeed without wiping out the entire population. Is Israel prepared for that? Why is America providing military aid to Israel and participating in this tragedy? Stop supporting Israel now, and force them to join the middle east community. Force them to befriend their neighbors. They will have to make concessions when big brother is not there to watch over them.

the real losers

The real losers in this whole mess are the monsters who have distorted logic, justice and morality to such a degree that they will never recover their humanity and will live with hatred in their hearts forever. They will continue to propagandize until they can no longer see any truth. Why should I, as an American, have to muddy myself by wading into the muck of their decades (millennia) long religious war? We are not wanted there, except as providers of military aid. So let's simply stop paying for it. No need to figure out who get's what hilltop. Once the US truly turns away from this bitter little struggle in disgust, the parties involved will finally be forced to reckon with each other.

Thank you Glenn

Thanks for taking a courageous stand and putting a spotlight on this issue. Clearly, somebody, somewhere is maintaining an extensive file on your activities. All US citizen's have the right to discuss this matter because we are paying for it! If we cannot openly discuss the costs and benefits of Israeli policy to the US, then we should stop payment immediately. In fact, is it possible to sue Israel for damages? Can we get our billions of dollars in aid back? That might get their attention.

Shooting Fish in a barrel

I don't know why Marty Peretz thinks the Jews are so tough? They have spent decades de-humanizing and stealing from the Palestinians. And now they have walled them in, starved them, shut off the electricity. There's no place for them to hide, so why feel such glory in bombing them? Hell, the weaponry being used in this assault was probably all charitably donated to their sorry asses by the US.

revisionist identification list?

Thanks for your great work Glenn-

Perhaps you might arrange a turkey shoot for this Holiday season and challenge all of your readers to identify just one revisionist (providing concrete evidence) then create a list linked to their published and/or recorded words from the period of tremendous rage/fear to this time of greater contemplation and realignment. Let's hold them all accountable! Biggest prize based on weight, feather color and degree of molt.

6 months?

Not sure that I want this man on our side, considering how consistently wrong he has been. How long do we have to wait for his green technology prophecy to come true? Six months? I certainly don't need him to come along and tell me what I already know. "Hey buddy, it's crowded." No shit. Tell me, is his house as ridiculously BIG as Al Gore's?

Wow--

Good work Glenn. If you keep banging away at these fascist liars, eventually they might stop taking air.....er, I mean take themselves of the air. They appear to be determined to tell a lie SO BIG that even the drooling Fox viewers will sit up in their easy chairs and say 'waaaait a minute here..' Thanks YOU!!!
