Good for Mrs E

It almost makes me wish I watched "Hardball"* just so I could hear her call in and tell Coulter what a piece of crap she is. Maybe it's on YouTube?

About the only thing as satisfying would be to see someone beat the snot out of David Spade. Nothing to do with politics, just because he's David Spade.

*I don't get Comedy Central anymore - is "Crossballs" still on?

Pizza?

I wonder if Ruben B had a midnight snack and fell asleep watching "Blind Date"? Except for being a little more civilized, Charley is just like most of the guys on that show...uh, so I've heard.

Not that I would ever watch such trash.

It happens so seldom

Huckabee: "...Frankly, Americans will forgive us for being sinners. They won't forgive us for being hypocrites."

Dang, I hate it when a Republican actually makes sense and/or says something reasonable.

What does it say that you've posted that message on the wrong comic?

What year indeed

Tomreedtoon: "...if you want funny-ha-ha, stick to Family Circus."

What year was that comment written? Has Family Circus ever been funny-ha-ha?

As to the plane, maybe that panel is a Picasso.

Regarding the "we are stardust" theme, although I like that perspective, it reminds me of the Car Talk guys' discussion of a semi-related topic. As I recall, after providing mathematical evidence in favor of the premise that "You're drinking the same water that Archimedes drank" Tom and Ray went on to say that that's a more romantic way of putting it than "an old Greek guy peed in your drinking water".

I love the way you Bushies point out that Gore lost his home state, but ignore the fact that your boy W lost his home country.

Maybe one question, sajwan

At 9:54 AM, sajwan asked: "Can a question be anymore vapid, stupid, and partisan?"

How about when Chris Wallace asked Hillary why she and her husband are so partisan?

I had the same reaction reading your comment about "Kansas O. haters" that I have when someone calls me a "Bush hater": you say that like it's a BAD thing.

Merciful God in heaven above!

I've avoided the comic itself for the last two installments, only reading the letters, but curiosity got the best of me and I just caught up.

My God, what a crapfest!

Y'all are right, it's still worthless. I realize I'm not adding anything new to the discussion, but I felt like I should post a critical note to make up for clicking on the abomination.

There is one good thing I can say about KO'F: it's not "Mallard Fillmore".

I'm with you, 6:37 Anonymous

I guess I just have to admit I'm truly Out Of Touch.

I love most of Ruben's stuff and while Dinkle isn't my favorite, I've always gotten the joke before now.

Okay, there's humor (irony?) in the juxtaposition of fancy food and drugs, but the same thing over and over? Is it a reference to some news tidbit I'm unaware of, like a restaurant somewhere that's been caught fronting for a drug operation?

Pardon my cluelessness, but if anyone can explain it to this apparently humor-impaired old fart, I would be in your debt.

I'm voting for the Democrat in November no matter who it is...

...because appointments to the Supreme Court, Cabinet, and the thousands (?) of other positions are too important to give to the Republicans again.

As I said, no matter who...though I'm very glad it looks increasingly like it's going to be Obama. It's good to vote FOR someone, as opposed to voting against McCain.

BTW, I think it's amazing that it's been about 11 hours since Alex posted this item and - unless I missed it - there hasn't been a single comment that printing Mike Henry's email shows bias against Clinton (or for that matter, that it somehow shows bias against Obama).

Ready on Day One

to start running for Term Two.

Having said that, I'm voting for the Democratic nominee, whoever it is. I'd just much rather it be someone who didn't give Dubya a blank check for Iran and who wants to seat delegates from a "primary" that had one name on the ballot.

"I don't think the problem with the media is that it is biased politically, I think the problem is that it is lazy and sensationalistic."

This is the most succinct and accurate statement I've read here in quite some time.

Dubya's statement

I only heard a snippet of it, and only once so far, but Dubya said something like: Democracy in Cuba had been subverted by "the Castro brothers".

As a Floridian and former subject of His Royal Jeb!ness, I found that quite amusing.

Deadhead

"And what is Hillary's legislative record?

Voting for the authorization to invade Iraq is the only thing she has done that comes to mind."

You forgot her vote to label Iran's army a terrorist organization, thereby giving Dubya and Cheney ANOTHER blank check for war.

And speaking of accomplishments, just what were Bill Clinton's in 1992? Governor of Arkansas - granted, executive experience and he'd served for ten (?) years, but it's one of the smallest states, and what had he done nationally? And he had absolutely no foreign policy experience. So maybe Hillary shouldn't make too much of Obama's inexperience.

I'm proud of Salon reader/posters

No one has made any lame, misogynic references to Hillary's support among Democratic Broads.

Oops.
