Did Sarah Palin need MEMRI to mistranslate her goofy statements?

Oh, and btw Juan Cole (are you CIA?) -- uranium enrichment for nuclear POWER needs to be about 4%, while uranium enrichment for nuclear WEAPONS (you know -- like the nuclear arsenal that Israel has) requires 95% enrichment.

Borrow a pocket calculator and do the sums, Juan. This article is just more anti-Iran, pro-Israel bullshit, another meme. Repeat the lie over and over and over and over and over again, maybe the sheeple will accept it as being true.

Ahmadinejad won by the same margin he won by in the last Iranian election. Those savages need Diebold e-voting machines so that we can deliver the election results we want to see.

How about a "SHUN THE FEDS" campaign?

Refuse to sell anything to the Federal government, refuse to acknowledge their supposed power -- cut them off at the knees without a shot being fired.

Return all power to the states. Remember the states? The United STATES of America? Washington is comically corrupt -- Tattoo "FED" on the forehead of every member of Congress in 4" tall red letters.

Remove the Federal facehugger and continue living as free people in a free country without endless war and the boundless taxation that is needed to fund such un-American activities.

This shit again?

Is this story supposed to distract people from the health care debacle? What about a little love for the proposed audit of the Federal Reserve? Any real stories out there?

Salon didn't devote this much time to 9/11

So what's up? What story are we being distracted from with this prolonged crap?

No birth certificate, no problem. Politics is rotten anyway, that wouldn't be as major as, say, not prosecuting a former President for war crimes.

Seriously, though -- I haven't seen a smokescreen this thick since that Mel Gibson drunk anti-Semitic story to cover up the southern Lebanese slaughter courtesy of Israel. So what's our attention being diverted from this time? The health care bills? Afghanistan (did you notice that General Stan wants to double the troops there?) What?

She did this with a straight face?

Did Kenya set up a global network of secret prisons designed to circumvent existing laws regarding torture and prisoner's rights? Did I miss something? Kind of story that makes me want to beat my head against a wall, it's so agonizing to read.

btw salon.com is worth supporting, even if the only thing you read is Mr. Greenwald's columns. Find the money to pay for quality content, it's not like you're going to have to sell a kidney to an orthodox rabbi to come up w the money or something...

Lack of trust in anything the government does

Two wars of aggression, no war crimes charges, no believable 9/11 investigation, the TARP bailout, the incredible pork-laden bill Obama signed earlier this year, the dubious health care reform... people have seen 40%+ of their savings wiped out while bankers receive massive amounts of money that the Treasury Department can't account for...

I don't see this as "racist" or "Republican," I see people genuinely pissed off like they've never been pissed off before and the 500 or so members of Congress plus the President are not looking like any working person's friend.

Speaker Pelosi deserves special attention, she of the "not on the table" impeachment quote. Making her another accomplice to systemic torture.

Trying to paint it as "racist GOP versus heroic Dems" isn't flying. People are genuinely angry with the government. As well they should be.

How many simultaneous "simulations" of highjacked aircraft were being run on 9/11?

How did "Arab terrorists" get THAT to happen? Was this the idea? Inflate the "birther" nonsense and then use that to smear 9/11 "truthers"? Wow, that really sucks. Gotta love a complicit media.

One last time. I had to produce a CERTIFIED copy of my kid's birth certificate to get him a Passport. the "birth abstract" WOULD NOT DO. So how it is too much to ask to see the President's birth certificate? How did HE get a Passport without one?

Television news was stillborn, full of lies. The Web has killed newspapers, no one believed a word they read any more. Yet listen to the chorus of news sites, singing in harmony... who writes your script? Why do you follow it?

The US MSM has managed to ignore the discovery of nanothermite particles in all WTC dust samples -- evidence of controlled demolition. Are we still clinging to the "Arab terrorist" story?

No sexual vibe at all. You're projecting.

I don't see that as a stripper pole. More like an umbrella pole she can hold on to so she doesn't fall off. Fugly lip-synching dress-up doll. Nothing sexual happening there.

Original article: Let's talk about tasers

Has anyone mentioned the 76-year old man tasered by two "bad" cops

In Idaho or Wyoming over the 4th of July? Eyewitnesses said they went out of their way to create a problem and then Tasered the 76-year old who was driving a tractor in the 4th of July parade with an 8-year old passenger.

If Tasers are non-lethal, can we Taser the next cop we see before they can Taser us? I understand that the corporation that markets Tasers has done all they can to have their name stricken from court records of victim's lawsuits.

Pain is so all-American. Don't tase me, bro.

Original article: This Modern World

The Tea Party in Boston some years back

was to protest "taxation without representation" -- now, let's ask ourselves how many citizens wanted to fund "TARP" to give Goldman-Sachs et al a ton of money with no strings attached. Let's follow that up with a "stimulus" package of nearly three-quarters of a trillion dollars. Did I forget to mention the two unfunded wars of aggression? Oh, and let's toss in a "health care reform" bill...

I remember Dianne Feinstein voting FOR "TARP" last year and a YouTube clip of her on the Senate floor explaining that although 93% of the calls from constituents she had received insisted that she vote against the give away, she voted for it anyway.

Keep telling yourself it's an astroturf campaign by "right wing whackos" -- people are genuinely angry at the government like they haven't been since... what, the Depression? Democrats and alleged liberals are planting bitter seeds by ignoring what ordinary people are angry about.

This is hysterically funny

Because it's on Salon... "this taboo topic"... you folks really do have your screws torqued down just a bit too much...
