Israel's secret nuclear arsenal

Oops, shit, that's secret, can't discuss it.

Iran exports oil. Iran wants nuclear POWER, which means ~3% enrichment. Nuclear WEAPONS, like Israel has, requires ~97% enrichment. If Iran has nuclear POWER they can sell more OIL since they'll have nuclear POWER to generate electricity. Get it? How hard is this to grasp?

Did Obama parrot the famous "wiped off the map" canard?

He's Bush43 with a darker complexion, guys, get used to it. Nothing is going to change. Buy a couple-three bottles of your favorite hard liquor because you're going to need it over the next month.

Where is this money coming from?

Are we talking about MORE debt? On what scale? Another staggering outright theft like "TARP"? No accountability again?

With the pork distribution system firmly in place in Washington, why expect anything other than drunken funding of pet projects?

Who will pay for this additional debt? When? I realize that throwing money at a problem is practically an American tradition and that we're on a MAJOR bender following the bank bailout, but shouldn't common sense have a place at the table?

It's working so well that Bloomberg has to sue under FOIA

to get any details.

Why did Congress cave in? When 90%+ of citizens (remember citizens?) were STRONGLY AGAINST rewarding bad business practices? No matter. Apparently the bubble in govt bonds is set to burst soon, and that will be a Yellowstone-scale event when it happens.

Congratulations, Mr. Paulson. Usually people who perpetrate crimes of this magnitude are under house arrest, at the very least. That you have stolen so much money alone is praiseworthy in some odd way, truly one of the greatest scams of all time. Who knew that the US was a socialist nation when it came to our beloved banking class?

Perhaps you are not recognizing the potential here

But I sense that Grover Norquist is peeing in his pants in fear at the thought of Caroline Kennedy in public office.

There is no reason Ms. Kennedy could not become an Extinction Level Event for the GOP as we have known and loved it all these decades.

It's a shame

That China won't contribute a modern ground-to-air missile defense system. That would greatly reduce Israel's air strikes on civilian targets.

Ground-to-ground missiles with guidance systems would be a vast improvement over the 74Kg unguided skyrockets teh Palestinians have been using up to this point. Speaking of which, there were NO Israeli deaths due to the alleged Palestinian missiles up until the day the current attack on Gaza began, then sudden four Israelis were killed in a single day. Examining their individual stories is fascinating -- it's as if they'd been set up in a false flag operation. But I digress.

It's a shame that Mr. Friedman continues to breathe.

Proposition 13 saved Californians from overeager politicians

Who saw property taxes as carte blanc for each and every pet project and cushy 70s endeavor that crossed their desks.

Why can we afford wars of conquest at the behest of an unnamed foreign government but we can't afford to fund schools? Hmm. Gotta think that one over.

Original article: To Hillary, with love

Palestinian skyrockets and Israeli air strikes

>Clinton echoed the Bush administration stand in part by declaring: "You cannot negotiate with Hamas until it renounces violence, recognizes Israel and agrees to abide by past agreements. That is just for me an absolute. That is the United States government's position; that is the president-elect's position."

Hamas did not violate the cease-fire. Israel did, with four very well-aimed missiles, one exceeding its published range by 200%, and killing four Israelis. Well, two Israelis, an Israeli soldier, and an Arab worker. Remarkable events on the first day of the Gaza invasion. If you study the facts, it smells like a false-flag operation. How about that? Israel would never do anything like that, right?

Is there any point in having a Secretary of State who declares that they refuse to negotiate with the democratically-elected government of Palestine?

How can such a tiny percentage of the world population and such a tiny shitty country have such a hold on US politics? And how can it be ignored? Amazing brainwashing.

Prove it.

Are they polling military bases or something? Some deep pocket of True Believers? Because everyone I know or can think of considers Bush43 to be the worst fuckup of a President the US has EVER seen.

Thirty-four percent? Where are these people? I find it impossible to believe that 34% of US citizens find Bush43 palatable in any way, shape or form.

Original article: Poison solar

Do solar panels have to be mfg'd by virgins

using unicorn blood? Perhaps a nice clean-room environment is the way to go.

The whole "Green" thing seems controlling and holier-than-thou. Don't get me started on the "global warming" cult.

Is the Army lying about friendly fire deaths?

Could the Pope use a night out? Does the Army EVER tell the truth about ANYTHING? If the Army told you that the sun would rise in the east tomorrow, would you believe them?

Not to be overly cynical, but...

What did anyone imagine would happen? We invaded Afghanistan to support Unocal's pipeline. Why do I get the feeling of deja vu as I read each new (very well written) article on Iraq and Afghanistan? Am I the only one old enough to remember Viet Nam? The only thing that's different appears to be that the systems of corruption are better organized and the scams are unapologetically ruthless. They hate our freedom, dude.

Oh, and the depleted uranium

Viet Nam didn't get to enjoy depleted uranium. Forgot to mention that.

OK, then we can disappear Cheney and

waterboard and torture him for a few years to figure out what he knew about 9/11/01, right? If it's not a big deal, then it's good enough for our beloved Vice-President. In fact, the entire Bush43 administration ought to be in Gitmo receiving the exact treatment the innocent Muslims we scooped up have been receiving.

Wouldn't Dick Cheney look good in an orange jumpsuit? Better yet, he'd look GREAT in a black plastic trash bag and hood with electrodes attached to his testicles.

How's that Kool-Aid, hawkpsd?

Tasty? Enjoying it? Of course you are!

Have you ever, EVER known anyone in a position of power who retained the ability to tell the simple, unvarnished truth?
