@electrorobot: "Paen to racist hate"?
[Read the article: Joe Lieberman, ideological turncoat]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If plain facts sting, perhaps the truth needs to be altered -- not committing genocide in Gaza, not co-opting another government's support and aid into a parasite-prey relationship -- things of that nature.
Is it my "racist hate" that fired air-to-ground missiles through the Red Crosses on top of Lebanese ambulances transporting wounded from the scene of Israeli attacks in 2006? Did I make that up somehow? Is it my "racist hate" that brings it to my mind?
I am certain that I have never fired an air-to-ground missile though the roof of any ambulance, much less through the Red Cross painted on top of such a vehicle. Is such an obvious atrocity not the heinous war crime it appears to be if Israel commits it?
Joe Lieberman: treasonous Senator. Did his oath to uphold the US Constitution include any special clauses to do the bidding of a foreign country if that country's particular flavor of religious psychopaths is of the "Chosen People" variety?
Give. Me. A. Fucking. Break.

I hear you and I feel for you, really I do
[Read the article: I'm a mom who needs more solitude]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Making a home and establishing domestic order out of chaos provides a center for the kids. The reliable routine and familiar calendar of holidays and birthdays and events... The front of the refrigerator covered with souvenirs and memorabilia...
Play your role as best you can, make a home and pay genuine attention to the kid(s). It's important. Get up earlier and stay up a little later and collate your notes when you can. The kid(s) are more important.

I'll miss the book
[Read the article: In every dream home, a heartache]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]But the Roxy Music lyric as the headline was ultra-suave.
-
McSame
[Read the article: McCain explains why the U.S. is on the "wrong track"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Another braindead Republican in the White House? Didn't Al Queda cause the housing market to collapse? And illegal immigrants entering the country illegally so they can be gay and married?
-
Too many surprise endings
[Read the article: Clinton camp denies report of planned staff cuts]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]in endless Hollywood movies for there not to be some kind of surprise twist with the former First Lady's campaign.
Some insane Napoleonic power grab. Wait and see.
-
So we've set up an entitlement program for Iraq?
[Read the article: Looking for payoff in Iraq]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If you don't blow us up, we'll pay you?
Has it occured to ANYONE that the only thing remaining is to LEAVE IRAQ? We punched them in the nose, raped their mom and shot their dog, now let's go home.
What is this, 1970? Why the FUCK are we still in Vietnam? Er, Iraq?
-
The Ultimate Indulged Boomer refuses to accept defeat
[Read the article: What does the Clinton campaign's denial mean?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Like the monster dangling off the end of the spaceship in "Alien," Hillary Clinton refuses to give up. Against mathematics, logic, decency... her Reality Distortion Field will not be shut off.
Get over the shrieking and thrashing. You have not been chosen. Go back to your carpetbagging Senatorial seat and refine your negative energy and bide your time in a Nixonian manner.

Did the geezer have any steam left after
[Read the article: McCain goes on the attack]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]dropping to his knees @ the AIPAC conference?
It's enlightening to hear a US Presidential candidate swear unwavering devotion to a foreign country.
-
AIPAC Convention? Really?
[Read the article: Sitting shiva with Hillary]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Sure haven't read much about it in Salon or in the Mainstream Media.
AIPAC Convention? Which US politicians found time to attend?
-
They keep trying to get this lie to stick
[Read the article: Arming our own enemies in Iraq]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]How many times have you read this story? My favorite were the "mortar rounds" which, oddly, had information printed in English using a Gregorian calendar dating method.
Goes to show that the CIA is hiring shithead Gen X types who don't do their homework.
Petraeus? Just a liar.

The Democrats will achieve the impossible
[Read the article: Democrats, put down your swords]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]That would be keeping a Republican in the White House after two terms of the worst excuse for a President the US has ever seen.
Hillary Clinton? Or some black first-term Senator? Candidates out of the McGovern mold. Yes, by all means, Democrats, unify all you can. You might want to start looking around for a candidate who could actually win in 2012.

No hesitation about using bottled water
[Read the article: Waterlogged]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The tap water where I grew up was awful, and the tap water where I live now is even worse. For thirty years I've been drinking bottled water. I used to carry gallon bottles of water with me to work every day. I'm happy to give the kids bottled water. '
Once many years ago I was on vacation in northern California and ran out of money, had to drink tap water... I was amazed that the water was delicious-tasting, not the heinous liquid that comes from the tap at home.
Water you feel is fresh and tastes good isn't too much to ask, is it? That's an illusion I'll happily pay for.

Dichotomy + reality distortion field
[Read the article: Hillary's final curtain ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]May allow one to tilt at invisible windmills. Hillary is not a trustworthy person. Hillary is not a likable person.
Changed history? I'll tell Shirley Chisholm.
-
Sex is overrated
[Read the article: I'm almost 23 and still afraid of sex]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Leads to all manner of complications. Used to be required for reproduction.
You're not missing much -- the romance part of dating is delightful, the grunty-sweaty-animal-fucking is kind of tedious after a while.
-
Mohammed Atta was a guest on the SunCruz gambling boats partially owned by
[Read the article: The White House and Abramoff: 70 more contacts revealed]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Jack Abramoff.
It's one of those inconvenient factoids that the mainstream media has to avoid like kryptonite.
So we have our beloved "Arab Terrorists(tm)" upon whom we have hung the responsibility to get us involved in not only the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan but a bonus war of aggression and occupation in Iraq. These perps were shadowed by one of several Israeli spy operations, living in close proximity to the "Arab Terrorists(tm)".
Shall we just all take a deep breath and forget about this coincidence? I'm sure that there's nothing to it. Ha. Ha. Ha. Who wants to know how deep the rabbit hole goes, anyway?
-
Let's NATIONALIZE the petroleum industry
[Read the article: Oil price conspiracy theorists: Rev your engines]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Just like Hussein did in Iran back in '73. Remember? Maybe you don't but US and British oi corporations sure did, and they eventually hanged Hussein after a conviction from a kangaroo court in a war zone...
Be brave, President Bush43: Announce the immediate seizure and nationalization of all petroleum operations and resources.
How much was gas per gallon when Fat Tony appointed Dubya? I paid $4.59 a gallon this morning.
Nationalization. Think about it.
-
Barbara Bush may be a member of the ruling class, but
[Read the article: Michelle Obama, fashionista]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]She's not hostile in the way that black women are hostile.
Or am I racist to notice that black women have a special capacity for overt hostility?

5-4 is a mighty slim margin
[Read the article: Supreme Court restores habeas corpus, strikes down key part of Military Commissions Act]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Awesome column. Maybe all is not lost.
