  • Israel is a foreign country

[Read the article: Finding Obama guilty of insufficient devotion to Israel]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

It really is. And it ought to be treated as such.

Israel is a foreign country. Not the 51st state. Israelis are foreigners. They ought to register as agents of a foreign power like other foreigners working as lobbyists in Washington.

The more you examine the "special relationship" Israel enjoys with the US, the more it resembles a parasite/host relationship.

    "Insufficient devotion to Israel"?

I'd find it refreshing for President Obama to review each and every "dual citizenship" type in government. No man may serve two masters. Putting the USA first, second and third is what the order of the day ought to be for every American President. NOT SERVING A FOREIGN COUNTRY'S INTERESTS.

  • Kosher glorification of the military

[Read the article: On armies, war and an aging Israel]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Gotta love it.

  • Remember the Iraqi bridge we blew up and rebuilt and then blew up again?

[Read the article: Hoping for magic from Americans]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

We. Are. The. Problem. In. Iraq. We need to GTFO already. It really IS that simple.

  • What's the difference between Gaza and Tibet

[Read the article: On armies, war and an aging Israel]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

What are you, some kind of anti-Semite to ask such a question?

  • Relax and enjoy the ride

[Read the article: How I misspent my European vacation]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

So there I was in Paris at dawn, the bus ride having taken all night. I was a long ways from home in a strange city. I was on a super-tight budget.

I was on my own, on the loose. It was magnificent. People in the countries I visited were all friendly and appreciated my tenuous grasp of French, at least I was trying. The food was incredible! The wine was great! The women were beautiful!

Roll the dice. Enjoy the game. Don't present yourself as an asshole American there to be taken advantage of.

One of my favorite things to do anywhere new is take a local bus somewhere for a few miles and find my way back to my hotel, see the local sites. I haven't traveled much but it sure is fun. You just need to maintain the correct attitude about your adventures.

  • McSame needs to relocate to Baghdad

[Read the article: McCain's amazing Iraq somersault]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Fuck the Green Zone, I mean right on the main square where that photo-op destruction of the statue of Hussein took place (did you not know that was a photo op? View European media sources, who provided photos from a distance, clearly showing a tiny staged event taking place with US military everywhere).

McSame will then have true street cred. Sure, he may not much done given the spotty availability of electricity, but it's more of a media statement, isn't it? Being an extension of two stolen terms of office of Bush43 he can even hang a nice "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" banner over his bunker.

Er, one question... how does he know 2013 will be long enough? Did his puppetmasters in Israel tell him that would be adequate? Not to sound overly cynical.

  • Wind and other alternative energy sources ought to be fully funded

[Read the article: Winds of change]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Why not move incrementally forward? Tax credits for alternative energy installation until we have a surplus of electricity being generated makes sense.

How about smaller turbines that could collect the wind energy produced by rushing traffic?

The letter above mine mentioned wave energy -- attempted in the 1900s but definitely worth examining today.

Kill all the suits and return to the age of American Ingenuity.

  • She's a loathsome person

    [Read the article: Gender lessons]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Evil, cold, carpetbagging weasel. Never liked her. She could not be more clearly untrustworthy. I'd sooner vote for Dick Cheney, whom I hate.

Hillary occupies a space beyond hate. Dick Cheney is evil, but has integrity. Hillary is vermin IMHO.

    Good riddance.

  • @TJColatrella: YES to hemp, and sugar beets

[Read the article: When corn senators attack!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

and NO to corn for ethanol production. ADM does not need to turn into the ag-based eighth of the Seven Sisters via ethanol.

Industrial hemp is the numero uno candidate for biomass energy. Does God fuck up? Why did he curse us with this awful plant? Hahahahaha... Kindly reread "The Emperor Wears No Clothes" to review the long list of industrial applications hemp can help manufacture... odd how so many of them would compete with petrochemicals... just a coincidence...

  • Be kind to Joe -- he is a faithful public servant

[Read the article: Joe Lieberman, ideological turncoat]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Unfortunately he's most interested in serving Israel instead of the United States. His behavior is not appalling in that light, instead it makes perfect sense.

An "ally" of McCain's? Are you new around here? McCain is a moron and Joe (Palpatine) Lieberman breathed life into his failing campaign and now owns McCain the way that Palpatine owned Darth Vader.

"What is your bidding, my master?"

Observe American politicians on the occasion of Israel's 60th anniversary crawling on their hands and knees, demonstrating "sufficient fealty" to Israel, in Israel -- disgraceful. Unless you look at it in the light of their serving Israel above the United States.

Joe Lieberman isn't a turncoat, he's an Israeli patriot serving in a foreign legislative body for the benefit of Israel. Put down that Kool-Aid and examine the record. Joe isn't a bad guy. He's a hard-working agent of a foreign power.

  • Biden has short oars

[Read the article: Biden responds to Lieberman's attack]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

He can row as fast as he wants to, but his oars are too short to even touch the water. So he's going through the motions without any result, which is probably the first line in any Democratic manifesto that exist. Huff, flail, and address nothing of substance.

Joe Lieberman is a fanatical Zionist who wants the US to next attack Iran on behalf of Israel. And it looks to me like Bush43 and Cheney are doing absolutely everything they can do to bring about such an attack.

I don't think that Biden or any Democrat has the balls to state this simple fact: ISRAEL IS A FOREIGN COUNTRY.

Just say it. And let it resonate. Not the 51st State, not a "sister" nation -- a foreign country. Why is our foreign policy so heavily influenced by a foreign country?

Another rousing to-arms from the WSJ and another tiny puff of steam from the Democrats. Oh boy.
