Delectable meeting of caucasian bloodlessness and black life energy

Consider the dishwater-for-blood white men in suits who own and run the NFL and the black athletes who play the game, albeit concealed beneath helmets and protected with enormous pads.

It's a cultural thing. Blacks celebrate viscerally. Makes white people uncomfortable.

I'm focused on football because other sports basically don't matter.

So the bloodless androids pass another stupid rule. No throat-slashing. No taunting. No being black, essentially. Play your role and get the fuck off the field. It's a wonder they allow that jumping-up-and-down tribal warm up dance all teams seem to now participate in. I swear I saw that in "Zulu" back in the early Sixties. Just add spears.

OK, dump on me. I realize that wasn't a politically correct thing to have written but I don't really give a fuck about being politically correct.

Osama who?

Issues are irrelevant. You want a staggering tidal wave of flag-waving bullshit.

Drill? Yeah, I guess the voters (God bless them) have forgotten the Alaskan Oil Pipeline, paid for, I seem to recall at least in part by the Feds -- when the pipeline was complete, did US oil companies sell oil to US consumers @ the pre-1973-"oil crisis" prices?

No, they were allowed to charge full OPEC prices.

You know what Osama ought to do? Demand, WITH FIRE AND BRIMSTONE, a full investigation of 9/11/01 and a full criminal investigation of Cheney/Bush43's major crimes and misdeeds. He'd also do well to slit the throat of the IRS and of the Federal Reserve. Return the US to the gold standard.

He'd also do well to address the 761 US military bases sprinkled around the globe.

Change? OK, let's see it. It had better be big and you had better announce it with a hell of a lot of fanfare. The clock is ticking and your average bonehead Wal-Mart shopper isn't going to be voting for a black Muslim without some really, really compelling reason to do so.

The Democrats have done what I would have thought impossible: handed the White House to the GOP for another four years, maybe eight. After two terms of Cheney/Bush43, how is this even possible?

Issues are irrelevant. Sell the sizzle, not the steak. Keep it simple and make it big. By my reckoning there are about three months left until Election Day (Diebold Day would be a better name for it).

The Black Muslim or the POW/Soccer Mom? Jesus, this is fucked up and sad. Bullshit will triumph yet again.

Uh, Ms. Price..?

Like a dog humping your leg, McCain is just a horny old geezer. His catting around is legendary. Want to bet a week's salary that he favored Palin because she has a) mammary glands b) a vagina?

It's that simple and that coarse.

Detroit makes shitty cars. CEOs are assholes.

It's about that simple. Since the 1973 "gas crisis" (you think US support for Israel had anything to do w the "gas crisis"?) the writing was on the wall.

Why should US automakers get bailed out? So the US can seize their factories and make tanks in them if it needs to? An earlier letter writer had invoked the memory of the heinous "K" cars -- who would want to drive such a piece of shit?

Bloated, poorly-built tanks weak on fit and finish. I've purchased half a dozen new vehicles in my lifetime and I always look at US cars first and they ALWAYS SUCK OUT LOUD, pathetic, behind-the-times attempts which look like pale, sickly weeds compared to Japanese vehicles.

I've worked one-on-one with enough CEOs to realize where the problem is. And it's not on the assembly line.

$50 billion? Forget it. Die, already. You've earned it.

Original article: ESPN just shows the game

I like Jaws. Why are the two other guys in the booth?

With NFL Network available, ESPN doesn't really matter anymore, especially with their loss of what was their great wrap-up show on Sunday nights.

Why, then, not make a real A-team available for their Monday Night games? That would (obviously) be Ron Jaworski, Tom Jackson and Chris Berman.

How do you figure the global economy is 'too big to fail'?

And are we supposed to bend over and welcome getting shafted for the cost of the "subprime meltdown"?

How about if the lenders who made the dumb loans cough up the cost?

If you want to FIX something, how about dismantling the Federal Reserve and eliminating fiat currency altogether? And how about an actual physical audit of the gold that's supposedly in Fort Knox?

reform?

Book-banning I can believe; reform, no.

That she left some shitty little town in Alaska $22 million in the red I can believe; reform, no.

McSame could have nominated a loaf of white bread

And the GOP Kool-Aid drinkers would rally around that loaf of bread like braindead third-worlders venerating a tortilla with a burned image of Jesus on it.

War Hero?

Did the Vietnamese attack us? No, they did not. Communism was perceived as a threat to our trillionaires. And so we went to "war" and hammered a third-world people with all our might.

Heroic? I don't see it that way. And now we're repeating that mistake in Iraq, albeit on a smaller scale. Idiots!

Neither candidate is addressing our severely undermined fiat currency. The dime's worth of difference between them: shall we remain in Iraq for 999 years or 1000 years?

I'll probably cast my absentee ballot for Obama, but (remember FISA?) not a fucking thing will change. It's just sizzle selling a steak. The Democrats will substitute their own form of bloat and corruption for the overt theft of Bush43's two illegitimate terms in office.

McCain, the war hero, can go back to accepting graft for whatever business he conducts in Washington. Don't even get me started on Caribou Barbie and her book-burning backwoods idiocy.

Grover Norquist?

>Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform and a prominent GOP activist, spoke.

How interesting. He was also involved with the GOP team that purported vetted Palin.

Grover Norquist... oh, what songs he would sing in Guantanamo, truly an underappreciated hero of the New World Order.

Brittle old fool picks unqualified hottie for VP

Hilarity ensues. Caribou Barbie meets Jews For Jesus? Palin has a "reputation for reform"? Does that include the town she left $22 million in the hole?
