Great Communicator

Ms Walsh So Obama can give a speech He's now had to go from rhetoric to reality

Now take the assertion that our problems began in the 70s which party controlled congress for most of the years since then. The Democrats. So who is lying?

Businesses have left this country because of high taxes, too many regulations and cheaper labor. And you may as well accept this because they are not coming back.

While you may point out that marginal tax rates have been lowered by Reagan and Bush you fail to understand that taxes such as property, sales taxes, city taxes, product taxes i.e.cigerettes,liquor,gas,telephone,hotel rooms etc.etc. etc.have all gone up The government takes more and more money out of the consumers pockets. A nickel here a dime there and pretty soon it's real money All this money goes to government and they waste it. Much of it on perks for themselves. Read Government Waste from A To Z It will astound you. We have been going downhill since the Great Society was instituted by LBJ.Sometime during that time Americans decided their country owed them something I was raised to believe you shouldn't take unemployment unless you had to. I took many jobs lets say below my pay grade when I could have drawn unemployment. My nephews were unemployed a few years ago and both of them waited until their uneplowyment ran out before they even looked for a job. That's how the mind set has changed since the government stepped in. We will continue this slide as long as government is looked to as our salvation instead of ourselves

help for the economy spend

Mr. Reich I hope you're right. My daughter recently came to me with a problem, she had run her credit card to the limit and was being hounded by the companies for the money. I wanted to give her the money to pay it off, but instead after watching the direction this country is headed and the advice the so called experts were giving us I gave her this advise. Go get another credit card and pay off some of the debt on the first one and charge some more and maybe get another card or two and keep this up. This I said is your patriotic duty to keep the economy going. She asked if someday she would have to pay for this and I could only reply that not according to anything I have heard coming out of Washington

Leadership

Robert first you lose all credibility when, you, rant much like Jim Cramer. You're rant is that it's all Bush's and the Republicans fault. Yes they have to share the blame, but it was the Democrats who brought the housing market down, when they allowed Fannie and Freddie to go unchecked. Remember President Bush and John McCain both brought this to our attention in 2002, they were literally called racist for their opposition to what was going on there. I don't want to take away any of the blame for this crisis from the Republicans though, they behaved like Democrats this last eight years refusing to cut spending while lowering taxes. That's not responsiblity

As I didn't vote for Reagan but now admire his personality immensely he surely would have handled the crisis much better He would have given one of his morning in America speeches. That would have inspired us allas Americans and we never would be in this mess quite this bad. Leaders need to lead..

Hope and change

Politics and politicians have been getting uglier and uglier. I thought this was the president of hope and change, but look what he did when he authorized releasing information on our interogation techniques by the previous administration. He set off a firestorm, by Chaney, who then in turn accused him of making us less safe. He practically called them war criminals. What did he think was going to happen when he did that for God's sakes.

He then sat idyl by and let a comedian make a sick joke about another human being dying from kidney failure. So much for hope and change It looks like an all out war is coming now

The real problem is the MSM

This story broke on conservative talk radio and FOX News because the MSM refused to look at all the alegations of inpropriety that has been going on for years. It fell on deaf ears because the MSM has gotten in bed with the liberal party and until now that has worked with the American people, but a new day is dawning and the internet is leading the way for people to hear an opinion besides what the MSM wants you to hear. The MSM tried to play down the anger of the US taxpayer by ignoring them or calling them tea baggers and look where that has led. We use to rely on ABC, NBC and CBS to investigate organizations and the government and they did a wonderful job of looking after us, but now if the investigation is about conservatives they will look under every rock to find improprieties. But if it's about the current Presidents birth certificate, grades, class standing, SAT scores or friends we are completely clueless and if we even ask about any of this we are racist
