videos of honorable mercenaries

Including Blackwater, have been posted on youtube for all to see. Yea, shooting at civilians like they are in a 'turkey shoot'....with no danger to themselves. It is beyond disgusting. I hope Iraq gets their way on this, make the wingers jump and try to defend these paid thugs.

They need some real laws and real consequences if they are our paid army. I dont want these cowboy killers representing me. And the fact they have real incentive to keep the conflict going is beyond ethical. I dont know how anyone can justify the manner in which this is contracted or regulated.

Even Congress does not know how many there are or what they are doing.

Culture

In European racing, which also has two year old races, there are much different conditions in that the tracks are turf, they can be either right or left handed and the courses are 'old' turf-groomed for racing for hundreds of years. And while it may be impossible to re-create these conditions in America, the culture of racing there is better, too.

In EU racing, many other factors are more important than mere speed. The racing writers show this: in terms like "finished well within himself", or "showed class". In America, they say-the early fractions, the half mile was run in 46 and change, the last eith of a mile was run in 12 seconds.

The clock is the problem. We leave out all the "art" and "tactics" of racing that makes it beautiful.

I rode for a great trainer, Sidney Watters, who died this past winter at age 90. All his young horses were taken out on trails, galloped up and down hills, were turned out in pastures with varied terrain and streams. This is the norm in Europe.

Most American thoroughbreds are coddled, kept on flat surfaces, never out in real nature-they are factory farmed animals. If I wanted to rehab a Thoroughbred after racing, it would never be one of these animals from sterile factory farms. Too much trouble.

Trainers are saying they are seeing more tendon and soft tissue injuries on synthetic tracks. But, a percentage better than dirt tracks for catastrophic breakdowns is a good thing.

Obama demographics

In Indiana and North Carolina Obama won these groups: (%)

People with college degrees IN-56 NC-57

First time voters IN-69 NC-60

Independents IN-54 NC-45 (one of 4 Hillary Ind. wins)

Liberals IN-56 NC-63

Urban voters IN-60 NC-66

White 17-29 years old IN-54 NC-57

All 17-29 year old IN-61 NC-57

All 17 to 64 years old. IN-52 NC-60

Hillary wins the over 64 group, people who came of age before the civil rights movement. These are probably the likely people who will vote for McCain over Obama. Will race continue to sway these people when they see real policy differences between McCain and Obama?

On the war and the economy, on appointment of Supreme Court judges, the Democratic elder vote better get over themselves and vote for Obama over McCain or I will never forgive them. Look at the message, not the color of the messenger you old farts.

Obama demographics

Hillary is wrong, completely wrong. If you look at the Obama demographics from Indiana and North Carolina Obama wins all age groups from 17 to 64.

Hillary wins:

The OLD voters

The RETIRED voters

And because women live longer than men

The old WOMEN voters.

This is the group that came of age before the civil rights movement. They are also the Hillary supporters who, if Obama is the nominee, will turn coat and vote for McCain. They are the McHales Navy re-run crowd that Matt Taibbi writes about.

And God Damn them to Hell if they tip this election to McCain over Obama in November.

Hillary and her supporters..

need to tone down their rhetoric. Because as an Independent, I am shocked at the language coming out of Clinton supporters when they say they will vote for McCain over the Democratic nominee. (Obama supporters have said this too, the same goes for them).

My sister is a Republican who voted for Bush twice. She is voting for the Democrat this November.

And guess what? If my Republican sister can do this to save our country another 4 years of disastrous Republican policies, Hillary supporters can do the same. Otherwise they are Democratic traitors. As an Independent, I have no respect for people who call themselves Democrats who say they will vote for McCain.

Get over yourselves. You can justify your vote by saying you are not voting for Obama, but voting against McCain.

Hillary is destructive.

She should stop all reference to Obama and concentrate on McCain... If she is the supporter of womens rights she would like to be, and this goes for ALL HER SUPPORTERS. Including YOU, JOAN WALSH.

McCain just refused to sign the Fair Pay Act, putting him squarely in the Phylis Shafely camp. Any Hillary supporter who votes for McCain will be in this camp too.

Democrats voting for the Democratic candidate?

wow, what a novel idea for the rabid Hillary supporters! Are they really Democrats when they say they will vote for McCain or not vote at all?

NO. they are traitors to their party and to the womens movement. Thanks for nothing you fellow female Americans. I experienced pay discrimination because of my gender, did YOU? If not, a McCain administration will give you the opportunity.
