Monsieur 'bop - I don't know how old the grandkids are, but you ought to check out a PBS show called (I think) "The Big Wide World"... Geared toward the pre-school set, but my 4th grader! still likes it. Of course, he's very sweet, and wonderfully good-natured, just like his Old Man. ;)

When I recognize the ferocity of my love for that child, and think about the families in Iraq... The Madness has to stop. Not only in Iraq, but in any number of other places around he world. I can't do all that much about the Chinese Gov't, but I can accept my moral obligation to at least try to influence my own.

  • Eman you miss the point entirely

You invoke the depredations of the Islamufascistliberobogeyman

to justify your blood-thirsty embrace of policies which result in abominations orders of magnitude worse. At least 600,000 dead in Iraq. Children blown to bits. And you justify it by invoking 9/11.

You and your ilk make me sick.

It brings a smile to my face whenever you drop in to skewer a few of the more (or, less) obvious targets.

Monitoring enemy communications. As 'bop might say, "Grunt!".

Why, there's Charlie Savage at the Boston Globe, and uh, James Risen at the New York times (sometimes) and, um, well...

Nasalbarfer MUST be paid to write that tripe, right? Right?

  • NOrbit you need to get together w/ nasalbarfer

It's uncanny how can string together words that, while resembling written English in their grammatical construction, have no bearing whatsoever on objective reality.

Is it me, or have the trolls just gone batsh!t f*cking crazy tonight!? Is it always like this after work?

  • Uh, "you can both"...

Via C&L, this guy asks a good question:

    (He has linky's embedded)

Do you think if Barack Obama had left his seriously ill wife after having had multiple affairs, had been a member of the "Keating Five," had had a relationship with a much younger lobbyist that his staff felt the need to try and block, had intervened on behalf of the client of said young lobbyist with a federal agency, had denounced then embraced Jerry Falwell, had denounced then embraced the Bush tax cuts, had confused Shiite with Sunni, had confused Al Qaeda in Iraq with the Mahdi Army, had actively sought the endorsement and appeared on stage with a man who denounced the Catholic Church as a whore, and stated that he knew next to nothing about economics -- do you think it's possible that Obama would have been treated differently by the media than John McCain has been? Possible?

And -- this is fun to contemplate -- if Michelle Obama had been an adulteress, drug addict thief with a penchant for plagiarism -- do you think that she would be subject to slightly different treatment from the media than Cindypills McCain has been? Anyone?

I'm so used to talking heads blathering on about effectively nothing, that it's difficult when you have to actually, you know, listen to somebody's words.

Man, when you get going, if I were unfamiliar w/ your work (i.e. like, I'm hypothesizing, most of Amy Goodman's listeners/viewers) I'd have a hard time keeping up.

...Clinton said to a meeting of donors. "We have been less successful in caucuses because it brings out the activist base of the Democratic Party. MoveOn didn't even want us to go into Afghanistan. I mean, that's what we're dealing with. And you know they turn out in great numbers. And they are very driven by their view of our positions, and it's primarily national security and foreign policy that drives them. I don't agree with them. They know I don't agree with them. So they flood into these caucuses and dominate them and really intimidate people who actually show up to support me."

"Catch-All". List the members, (it's OK if they have no connection at all to one another), and come up w/ the Catch-All label that best fits the category - Most Misleading, Likeliest to Hasten Imminent National Self-Immolation, etc. You get the drift...

GC! Suddenly, I can use another of those 6-fingered jobs. Is my sore that obvious?

Casual_O Wild Turkeys on your roof? Dang, I've only seen a flock in the wild a few times. Litchfield County, CT of all places, if I remember correctly.
