If you read the comments in the article, the reason men become johns is not *just* because they want sex but because they don't want to do the work involved in courtship. They don't want to have to worry about any dumb broad. On another darker note, they appear to enjoy dispensing of the woman and the power of corruption. It has been noted by one high end madame that once her girls start looking "hard" or "knowing" at about age 25 (25!), they're done as per the profession. Are they still sexually attractive women? Yes. But they don't look like sweet children who don't know they're about to get hit by a truck any more. The activities the men ask them to do (like shitting on tables in front of them and their laughing buddies) leaves little doubt that the men enjoy their role as despoilers. The men I know who go to prostitutes are monumentally jaded, cynical, offhandedly cruel people.

Which is what you guys sound like.

And jaded, cynical, angry, cruel people generally cannot be happy until everybody else in the room is as jaded, cynical, angry, and cruel as they are. It confirms their world view. They not only believe the world is a shitty place, they bring the shitty world into being to prove that they are right. Hence their treatment of young women, and their enjoyment of seeing innocence turned into flinty-eyed greed while they watch.

See?, they say. See? Everyone's a hooker when you get down to it. I degrade this young girl until she turns into a bitch. I degrade my workers and screw them over at every opportunity, too. I degrade my wife and kids. And if anyone thinks this is wrong, I can count on being defended by lots and lots of men just like me because this is the system. Might as well just go with it, dearie.

There's a lot more going on than sex. The deepest darkest pathologies of the human soul, to start with. But they ARE pathologies, they are NOT normal, no matter how widespread they are. The system is of our own creation; it is not an eternal truth. We can change it if we want.

There's a reason why "whoring" has become slang for selling your soul and your integrity and your self-worth.
