Original article: WTF of the day

sexual attraction isn't power

It just means men will use you more when you are young. This is no power at all, unless you hit the jackpot and find a middle aged fool like the King of Jordan who will actually marry you.

Most middle aged rich/powerful men are not that foolish. So what are you going to get out of them? Nothing, not even substantial wealth. Whores don't end up rich or educated. They end up used up and tossed out.

We're better off having a family with that wastrel as long as he's nice and fun and loving. Then we need to be working hard, getting a degree and reaching our potential without dragging sex into it. To do what Amerigo suggests makes whores out of all women. But of course if you read his other posts, you know that's how he thinks of them anyway. He's pathetic.

stop beating up on the LW

Look, while its good to take control of and responsibility for your life, etc., could you lay off the LW just a bit?

It's her boyfriend who's behaving like a dick, maybe a little of the blame should flow his way, yeah?

Curious how women are to blame for everything, everything, and everything that goes sour in a relationship. Either they are actively doing something wrong (being a bitch), or, if they are being treated like dirt, they are passively doing something wrong. How dare she put up with it! Etc. etc.

Men, on the other hand, apparently can do wrong, because they are just expected to behave like shit. Women are left with struggling to define the lines of what constitutes tolerable shitty behavior vs. behavior that is really "deal breaker" shitty.

Whenever anybody who's clearly a gal writes in, there's a busload of letter writers willing to heap bile on her for "not standing up for herself" or "letting people use her"--Christ, blame the victim much?

Please stop it.

Cary has done this before

I too noticed the whole knives thing, and really disliked it, but Cary has done this in a couple of other columns, once writing that a woman should stand on a makeshift stage screaming and shooting off a pistol. I'm sure he means it "symbolically", but he does bring up weapons and shooting and slashing--not a lot, but sometimes, even when the letter clearly doesn't warrant bringing up something like that.

Cary, I hope there's no liability issues involved with putting really stupid ideas into people's heads. Shooting off a pistol randomly? Attacking someone with a kitchen knife? Really? I mean you are supposed to be advising distraught individuals with their life problems.

I can't believe your editors let you go that route.

Original article: Correction on Sarah Palin

She's nothing but nice legs and red high heels

which she turns to the camera at every opportunity. She lets Zardari slime all over her and make sleazy passes at her. She smiles and puts up with it, and moves on to the next old goat.

Hey Glenn, I thought you were in favor of legalized prostitution if the woman was willing. Why feel sorry for Sarah Palin? A more eager whore cannot be found in all the land. If you don't pity the lives of other hookers, don't pity hers.

Sarah can't say "caricature"...

..and even Katie had to supply the word "mocked".

Do you really want a President who mangles or forgets the meanings of common words?

Oh. Right.
