I've also met quite liberal high school aged homeschooled kids score 100% on University exams in the hard sciences where the "public schoolers", i.e. the "class average", hovers around 40%.

1) Pick your Mark

I've read lots of letters on here and I know that it is generalized but not stated around here that Public Schooling is the only good schooling, and that everyone else, who chooses another form of education, is either a backwards hick, a paranoid militiaman, some kind of "neocon", or a religious fundamentalist, so I show an example in which that is not the case to show that there are alternatives to "public school" as a means to inform/educate/etc., while WT seems to claim that public school and socialism is THE answer, i.e. the only answers, hence no alternatives.

Chris, homeschooling, private religious schools, private secular schools, etc. are available to many that choose them. I imagine you will find good and bad with all of them, just like public schools.

But chances are that the former aren't on lock down and/or patrolled by armed guards and/or German Shephards, and aren't mandated by the Federal Government to do things that don't work.

Don't need the Standard Algorithm for long division later on or anything.
