For every conspiracy there is the conspiracy on the other side, the one that says them lib'rals are using the public school system to dumb down the populace and groom them to be obedient to the police state and world government.
New Math? No Thanks. The Government can't even be bothered to teach kids standard algorithms anymore. Calculators for all! What's 342-173?
I've also met quite liberal high school aged homeschooled kids score 100% on University exams in the hard sciences where the "public schoolers", i.e. the "class average", hovers around 40%.

2) Find something, be it a person or group, who is associated with your Mark and is perceived, according to objectivity and official sources, as controversial and not politically correct because of comments about "The Jews"
3) Write up a smear job that links your Mark to the perceived Jew Hater, implying guilt by association through the long term perceptions that people will develop (like only remembering "9/11 and Iraq" from the propaganda).

[Read more letters about this article: Here]I've read lots of letters on here and I know that it is generalized but not stated around here that Public Schooling is the only good schooling, and that everyone else, who chooses another form of education, is either a backwards hick, a paranoid militiaman, some kind of "neocon", or a religious fundamentalist, so I show an example in which that is not the case to show that there are alternatives to "public school" as a means to inform/educate/etc., while WT seems to claim that public school and socialism is THE answer, i.e. the only answers, hence no alternatives.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Chris, homeschooling, private religious schools, private secular schools, etc. are available to many that choose them. I imagine you will find good and bad with all of them, just like public schools.
But chances are that the former aren't on lock down and/or patrolled by armed guards and/or German Shephards, and aren't mandated by the Federal Government to do things that don't work.
So are Partial Products and the Lattice Method superior to the Standard Algorithm for Multiplication? Are Partial Quotients superior to the Standard Algorithm for Long Division?
Don't need the Standard Algorithm for long division later on or anything. Demonstrating the Proof of the Gram-Schmidt identity must be fun for students who don't know how the Standard Algorithm for Long Division. Don't need the Gram-Schmidt identity when discussing power series and limits or anything like that, don't need limits to show exponentially diverging trajectories in nonlinear systems or anything. Don't need "limit cycles" in dynamical systems. Most kids are just going to get through life with the calculator anyway, amirite? Better off letting the Federal Government mandate that math teachers reinvent the wheel.

Why doesn't Barak Hussein Obama just give into the meme that he is really a crypto-Muslim supremacist Gentile who wants to give Iraq to Al Sadr, provoke Pakistan into nuking Kansas City, embolden Iran enough to "nuke Israel", or worst of all, say something that might insult the Saudis.

I learned my lesson; I bought a shotgun, 500 rounds, and recruited an army of impressionable young cats to protect myself and my private property, especially my ROMs, which I keep next to my jars of urine (don't want the Feds doing any tests on my precious bodily fluids ya know).
