The Mayan Long Calendar...

Makes me wonder what would happen if Americans made their Calendars to span millenniums instead of single years. Too bad Americans don't have the free time that the Mayans did to think in time frames greater than their next pay period.

We should make a new millennium calendar, get wiped out somewhere at the beginning or middle, then, if discovered by some person in the future, before the end of the calendar "year" (i.e. millennium), then they to can make up a bunch of doomsday crap about why we ended the calendar when we did.

I wonder if mice born in Jan. ever find our yearly calendars and wonder why it stops on Dec. 31st. Are they going to make another Calendar at that time, or is that when the world is going to end?????

Translated Update

"Glenn Greenwald is a shrill liberal blogger who wants to lose an American city!"

Can we render him a Club Tehran vacation, perhaps on the same flight as Ahmud?

For comparison, LL

This is what a WASPy-looking American cracker looks like:

Yeah, sure thing Claire. You'll be getting right on that.

re: #4

Posted this in your other topic. Katie Couric joins the finger waggers for some "torture is bad" finger wagging.

She must have missed this video, linked on the same page:

No cognitive dissonance there or anything.

Bill Owen

They were probably carrying out the humanitarian mission and trying to teach that young boy about physics. They wanted to demonstrate some examples of friction and had neither pencil nor paper available for free body diagrams, so they improvised.

Kaite Couric asks the hard questions about torture and human rights, to the President of Iran.... of course....

What, were you thinking she was going to ask our President such disrespectful questions (starts around 4:22)? Yeah, right...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QW1DltEt5z4

What the hell is wrong with Couric? Punishing state sponsored torturers? That sounds pretty outrageous, as opinion leaders in the US like to say. Didn't she see the letter to President Obama from the Nazgul? Our extrajudicial state executioners might hesitate in carrying out their patriotic torture duties. In the future. The citizens of Iran need to "Look Forward and Not Backward", like we did.

Doesn't Couric care about giving Government Agents the power to protect the lives of American Citizens without worrying about consequences from "the law"? Even one microsecond of second-guessing could be the difference between foiling a terror plot and losing a city.

The Chip on omooex's shoulder

It's huge, and the answer for it lies somewhere between an undergraduate degree and Glenn Greenwald's blog.

"The idea that we must constantly prove things about ourselves simply because our parents were born elsewhere-"

Unless you look like your parents were born in Europe, in which case you lead your life like a normal person instead of spending it battling the monkey on your back. But as everyone here knows, when omooex generalizes about race, it is always valid for the sole reason that neither he nor his parents look like WASPs.

Friday, September 25, 2009 09:15 AM

omooex

OK ok, I know you are above petty squabbles, hanging out on your fart cloud the way you do, and I've been ignoring you're pathetic little shots across the bow, but I'll give you a little attention since you've been flirting with me all week in a desperate plea for my man love, obsessing over my white man penis the way you do (see here:

Because I saw this:

as someone whose parents came from another country.

Blah blah blah, hey guess what asshole. My mom was born in South America too, I am a first generation American on my mom's side and her side of the family alone speaks six languages. But since my skin is white and I look like any old ignorant cracker WASP plus the fact that only one of those languages is Spanish and they aren't all, say, Arabic, it must not count and therefore I can't use my family history to pretend like I am an expert on identity politics when really all I want to do is make invalid generalizations about race, especially about people with different color skin. Only pretentious American fucks like you who look like their parents weren't born in central Europe would use it as a pivot point though.

What are you going to do when the Europeans start looking more like you, as demographic trends are indicating? Kill yourself? Lets hope so. You pretentious fart-sniffing asshole.

Now do your little "All it takes is one comment" dance, uncle omooex, and start thinking another week's worth of your flirtatious zingers.

"Climate Change" isn't an apocolyptic scenario or potentially catastrophic!

The reason is that everything will be all right once we cull about 90% of the worlds population and fully implement total information awareness.

Then Peter Earth will settle down a little bit, and everyone can worship the Nobles in the Global Government, from their sustainable Green Caves.
