Wouldn't that be Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke? He would be the most natural person to take on that role. The problem right now is that a lot of the problems that occur in the market are outside of the control of the tools that the Federal Reserve has. As I mentioned in my testimony to Congress, even a lot of the data that is required to evaluate the risk is not available to the Fed or, as far as I know, any other regulators. There are at least two things that it seems clear we need to know: What's the level of leverage for different types of hedge funds and has it been growing or reducing? Leverage is one of the key characteristics that leads to tight coupling and market crises.
Gee. Ya think?
You know what the other problem with the Federal Reserve is? Socialism doesn't work, unless you're one of the pigs that get to eat the apples and drink the milk.
Do you think that things were simpler when it was just Empire and Inflation? Now we have this "technology" and "hedge funds" mucking up the works as well?
Instead of letting the markets find something more efficient, like hemp, we get yet another example of why big goverment doesn't work and further entrenching another special interest.
So, like, is the Military Industrial Complex going to start running on biodiesel? Lawl.... that would be a win/win for the Empire. 800+ bases around the world in 130+ countries, and the Neocon Vatican in Baghdad, they are all going to need a lot biodiesel if they are going to want to keep the mayhem up and be in the "green zone". Get it! I am such a Joker! And it is good thing DU is biodegradable, amirite? With a half-life of few billion years it will go away eventually.
And damn are they going to need a lot of turd polish, er, I mean, subsidies, to realize this Vision.
Will New Hampshire Republicans give him the nod again?
No.
Yes.
Never have I heard or read this position from him. Please prove it to me. Prove to me that Paul would be OK with Jim Crow 2.0. I could make assumptions and speculate about how scary it would be under X canidate, but why do that? You are asking me, "When did Ron Paul stop being a racist?", and I think your question is based on a false premise. If Ron Paul really is this evil genius racist supervillian you make him out to be, then he makes Lex Luthor look like Gomer Pile and has fooled millions of people for decades. His "enemies" aren't Blacks, Women, Gays, or Jews, his enemies are the likes of Lockheed, Blackwater, Haliburton, KBR, Wall Street, the IRS, the Federal Reserve, and the entire Police State apparatus that is being constructed.
Do you think that his message is resonating because it is racist or he is racist? It isn't. The truth is that the only issues are the classics: War, Inflation, and Empire, and that he is the only candidate that is really connecting the dots. That is why the establishment is grasping at straws like this to try and smear this guy. It is amazing how people can analyze an empty set, like when an article about McCain comes out, and how they try and make something from nothing. It is like The Machine Stops where everybody sits around discussing secondhand ideas instead of coming up with their own. Put things into context. Our dollar is tanking hard now and he is the only one talking about it, listen to that radio interview if you are worried about abortion, where Horton pleads for those worried about abortion to just sit back and wait a couple more years while Paul does battle with the welfare programs for the Military Industrial Complex, because that will be his first target, and I would bet the farm on it.
People do what Ron Paul recommends and read about these things, and that's why his message is resonating. That is the reason why his antiwar stance AND his "kooky gold standard" stance are BOTH resonating. They are the same issue, and we are no different than any other country that spread itself too thin and destroyed its currency. Like Dr. Paul says, it is all about the foreign policy.
He is a 72 year old country doctor from Texas and he is threatening to pull the plug on the Military Industrial Complex, the biggest and most destructive honey pot of them all. You won't hear that being debated by any candidate on any company owned by General Electric.
I am willing to bet that "Kucinich" ends up endorsing Ron Paul. Just watch.
As long as we are blowing shit up around the world with Depleted Uranium from our 800+ bases in 130 countries using machines that don't run on batteries and biodiesel, all of this stuff is nonsense. The whole thing is nothing but theatre, and I don't want my family to live like serfs and get groped by the TSA so that Al Gore and the elites can fly around on private jets and blow shit up.
Are we supposed to give the Empire a pass to pollute because we are in a "War on Terror"? Are we supposed to live like hunters and gatherers while we continue policing, and polluting, the world and providing corporate welfare?
Fuck Gas Rationing. Fuck all of these proposals. As long as we are going broke policing the world with depleted uranium and fossil fuels, I'm not going to feel guilty about driving my car.
