re: Huckabee

What do you think of him?

Doesn't it seem obvious that the Huckster has been gunning for the VP spot, like Richardson, for a while now? At least since the PBS/Value Voters Debates?

The VP Huckabee for a Flawed Presidential Candidate fix is in:

http://www.boston.com/news/local/politics/primarysource/2007/11/giuliani_says_h.html

Why do you think that the Republican "top tier" didn't bother showing up to certain debates? To weed out the "2nd tier", to see if one of them can impress the "big boys" enough to get the VP nod.

The Huckster is gold as a running mate for a morally bankrupt crook like Scoop and Dump. Ghouls can use the Huckster to help steer the evangelical flock to the voting booth. The followers might puke in their mouths a little, but they'll still be able to swallow it, instead of puking all over themselves if the Huckster wasn't there to come riding to the rescue with liberal doses of ideological Pepto Bismol.

It's getting pretty sad....

LOL at Paul hating the banks because the banks are "run by the Jews". Sounds to me like Paul isn't the antisemitic one if you are the one making this connection.

I guess Paul has pictures of Mises and Rothbard in his office because they are Holocaust Denying, self-hating Jews.

Get over yourself. I don't see Paul as the racist one here. I see the racist ones as the ones that sit there and nitpick his words as they attempt to play Divide and Conquer.

Using Blacks and Jews as tools to get people to dislike Ron Paul in a classic groupthink game of Divide and Conquer and claiming that he is the racist here. Real Classy. You must be missing the part of his message that applies to everyone regardless of gender, race, or creed.

Geez

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_positions_of_Ron_Paul

Paul did not accept Medicare and Medicaid payments as a physician; instead, he worked for free or arranged discounted or custom-payment plans for needy patients; he says of these patients, "I just took care of them."

You people want to pick a fight regarding Abortion with an OB/GYN that has delivered over 4,000 babies over the span of his career. An OB/GYN who never accepted medicare or medicaid and either helped people for free or worked something out. One of a handful of issues that Paul has real world experience dealing with. Should be interesting...

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/22/magazine/22Paul-t.html?pagewanted=3&_r=1

He remembers seeing a late abortion performed during his residency, years before Roe v. Wade, and he maintains it left an impression on him. “It was pretty dramatic for me,” he says, “to see a two-and-a-half-pound baby taken out crying and breathing and put in a bucket.”

I guess Paul's career as an OB/GYN can't influence his stance on abortion, and he needs bloggers, interwebbers, and bureaucrats to correct him and tell him, a long time OB/GYN, how Medicine and Abortion should work.

It's a conspiracy

And here I thought that only 9/11 Truthers wore tinfoil hats. Obviously, from reading these comments, I was wrong. Like I said, when that's all you have, then that's all you have.

Does that make the Democratic Party a fascist party?

Not if you are a Democrat.

Noam Chomsky likes to talk about the failure of the US to hold a mirror up to its own actions, pointing to the concept of Universality. His observation seems to hold true when applied to subgroups as well. It is easier to be true believer when you run full steam ahead with blinders on.

Both parties are guilty of it.

This is why Kucinich has no chance:

I do support Kucinich. He's the only candidate who even comes close to representing my views. As a result, he will never be President. :)

Or, you can stop being defeatist and go get the man elected, you know, like Ron Paul supporters are doing.

Start a Kucinich money bomb, start trying to raise his grassroots support. At least Paul supporters are taking a risk and putting their money where their mouth is to get their man attention. Puff pieces on Salon and gushing comments in the letter sections of Salon aren't filling his campaign coffers.

re: Kucinich and the Constituion. You just don't get it...

Glenn could have chosen to an expose on Kucinich but he didn't

Did Kucinich have the grassroots support to raise 4.2M in one day? No, so stop crying about him and get donating so that your man can get similar Press. You think that people are going to be like, "hey look, Paul raised Millions, lets talk about Kucinich". No, they are going to talk about PAUL because those millions of dollars were raised for PAUL, NOT raised for Kucinich.

Besides, Paul has been making constitutional arguments for decades. There is a reason they call him "Dr. No" in Washington. And who do you think Kucinich works with regarding the war issue? I'll give you a hint, his name is Ron Paul.

Keep the bullshit conspiracies coming.

Now Paul is a crypto-theocrat on top of being a racist antisemite? Yeah, because Paul is all about using churched up rhetoric and bringing his religious beliefs and values into the debates. Look at how the religious right is flocking behind him, he was practically a shoe-in at the Value Voters debate.

What other baseless conspiracies and smears are you going to throw out there today?

He is a antisemitic, racist crypto-theocrat. Yeah right. Or he could be a 72 year old OB/GYN from Texas that you want to paint as the ultimate evil old white man because you dislike him. You really seem to hate Ron Paul for some reason. Does the family you alienated yourself from support him or something?

Oh well, keep drinking your kool aid.
