  • Radiohead fans should have NOTHING to complain about

[Read the article: More Radiohead news: A CD, clips of each track]

Seriously, why is there biching in the comments?

Radiohead is basically giving away their next album for free, and people are worried about whether or not it is lossless? Who cares? Download it for free, and if the compression algorithm (or hopefully lack therof) is sufficient to you, download it again and pay for it the second time. "It is up to you", remember? It isn't like you can only download it once for free and then feel guilty forever about not paying for the download. Download it, listen to it, and if you decide it is worth paying for, download it again and give money the second time. Problem solved.

I also don't see Radiohead as the type of band to collect your personal information and use it to advance some sort of conspiratorial agenda. Besides, most people can determine your address by doing a google search, it isn't like this stuff isn't in the public domain already or already easily obtainable. If someone really wants your personal information, for an Internet connection and around $20 anyone can get the same information that the bounty hunters and debt collectors get, including your name, address, aliases, maiden/married name, spouse/parents names and address, mortgages, place of employment, etc.

But hey, they finally put Reckoner through the studio tools, imo that alone is worth the price of admission. And I bought the Diskbox, so the price of the download is irrelevant to me.

  • Mercenaires

Blackwater is nothing but a private mercenary army.

State Sponsored Terror is only OK when the US, Israel, Saudi Arabia, or any of our "friends" in the "War on Terror" are the states conducting the operations.

    They are "Freedom Fighter Patriots".

    nuff said.

  • Ron Paul will beat Clinton

[Read the article: Adam Smith and the village's amusement at war]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Paul placed 4th among Republicans in the last quarter with 5.08 million, averaging $40 per person, meaning his money is not from fat cat fund raisers and white collar criminals. 1.2M of it was raised in the last 7 days online, there was a Flash Application with a real time thermometer and it displayed the donor's name and location, it was really cool. He doubled his last quarter, while all the other Republicans got less. The Huckster raised 20% of what Paul did, he should be crossing his fingers and hoping for the VP nod at this point. MSNBC is hyperventilating, calling him and his supporters names, it's all on YouTube.

And wouldn't you know it, all of a sudden the primary rules are changing, making it more difficult for Independents and Democrats to vote for Paul in open Republican primaries. A NH upset for Paul isn't a pipe dream either, it is going to be a reality.

Paul is serious about ending the war and fiercely anti-tax and anti-Fed. NH knows it. He will bury the Goldwater Girl.

But then again, maybe my tin foil hat is malfunctioning...

  • Ron Paul would destroy Edwards too

[Read the article: Adam Smith and the village's amusement at war]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Edwards was on Olbermann tonight. His whole strategy, should he get the nod, is to leverage his no vote against a pro-war Republican. If Paul gets the nod then Edwards is screwed.

Edwards is all preaching about how he sees that these resolutions eventually lead to war (re: Lieberman-Kyl). Um, duh? WTF else do they lead to? WTF else are they for? Paul has stated that in 1998 he felt that the "regime change in Iraq" vote would lead to war, voted no back then, and hasn't budged on it. Gee, I guess he was right.

But since he is a Republican, the True Believers and their Masters MUST push the myth that every Republican is a Warmonger. It makes it a lot easier for Hillary, Edwards, and the others when they pretend that they are anti-war.

  • Huckabee

[Read the article: Rudy, Mitt, Fred or John]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Huckabee has been running for the VP slot since the Values Voter Debate. He will be the shepherd that will lead the evangelical lambs to the slaughter. His smooth platitudes will smooth over their distaste for whatever neoliberal Presidential Candidate gets the nod. It is painfully obvious to anyone who is paying any attention at all and thinking strategically.

United we stand, divided we fall. Our American politicians love their wedges.

  • Socialists are against Central Banking? ok....

[Read the article: What you missed while watching "Oprah"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

So if you oppose fiat money and the debasement of our currency by Central Bankers to fund Wall Street and War you are considered a socialist? Populist seems more accurate to me, "Not all are effected equally". Socialism and Central Banking go hand in hand, and Paul was speaking out against Central Bankers and their acolytes, The Federal Reserve and the IRS.

Paul explained how the Class War works while smacking down Scoop and Dump and his, "It's the Free Market, stupid", rhetoric. It is NOT the free market, it is the creation of money by the Federal Reserve, aka counterfeiting. "expansion", "inflation", etc. It is nothing but the same old trick, debase the currency to fund the Empire.

Debasement of the currency isn't anything new, it is a neat little trick that the elites of various societies have been using to expand their power since the beginning of time, and it always leads to social instability and the destruction of any sort of middle class. You can't fund Empire without debasing currency, and debasing currency is the road to serfdom.

The Byzantines learned the hard way what happens when you debase your currency, and we are no different, even though we pretend we are because we are from the US and have neat-o technology and academics the rules don't apply to us. Even Greenspan, the former Wizard of Oz, said his prediction "skills" haven't improved in decades. He is nothing but a gypsy with a fake crystal ball.

Paul is addressing the exact same cabal of robber barons that Andrew Jackson addressed 175 years ago. The Politicians, the media, the hedge fund managers, the military and medical industrial complexes, they all suck the nipples of the Black Horse, while B-52 Bernanke and his handlers wield the scales.
