Dan.LaSota

You aren't an American Citizen? I always enjoy when foreigners encourage my fellow Americans to kill other foreigners. Thanks for the advice on who the ultra-inteverventionist out-of-control US Government (that supposedly represents me) should be killing.

What country are you a citizen of? Could we perhaps test this new bomb on it? My Government could really care less who it kills, collateral damage is just a euphemism for wrong place wrong time, we don't do body counts in the lands we are conquering. Maybe your country could be next?

We could take care of any injustices and free you from any tyranny you might be experiencing. That is what we do and we make a good time of it. I'm sure we would enjoy bringing freedom and democracy to your country by slaughtering your friends and family with our cool new bomb, don't you?

Good to see you are keeping things on topic today and not calling people names while you pimp Af-Pak. Must be more of your Good Faith I am always hearing about.

"Everywhere that Muslims live, they terrorize their neighbors." -Deb McEachern

I live in St. Louis and Muslims don't terrorize anybody. In fact, they are quite helpful and provide services to the community, you would almost think they were citizens of the United States.

So much for your theory.

CIA Funneling Hundreds of Millions of Dollars to Pakistani Spy Agency

Roughly a Third of Secretive Spy Group's Budget Comes From CIA

by Jason Ditz, November 15, 2009

Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence agency (ISI) is the largest of the nation’s many spy agencies. The secretive and enormous independent agency is a subject of almost constant controversy in the nation, where it is totally independent of the civilian government and the military exercises only modest oversight.

But the ISI could arguably be considered completely separately from the Pakistani government. After all, it was revealed today, the group gets roughly a third of its funding not from Pakistan but from the US, through covert CIA deals.

Not that American oversight over the group is any more effective, as US officials have repeatedly accused the ISI of complicity or direct involvement in terrorist attacks, including last November’s Mumbai strike. Officials have also said the ISI is directly supporting the Taliban insurgency in Afghanistan in its fight against the US. This support allegedly includes direct ISI funding for the insurgency, yet another example of how US money thrown at the region seems to trickle into the pockets of its opponents.

The CIA, however, defended the payments, saying they had more than gotten their money’s worth from the ISI in the form of intelligence in Pakistan’s tribal areas. In addition to this funding, the CIA has also paid tens of millions of dollars to the group as rewards for capturing or killing people on its behalf through a covert program approved by President Bush.

Thanks for the memories

There was one guy running for president last time around that was saying the same thing. He was labeled a kook and marginalized, was laughed at and still is.

He frequently references Robert Pape, author of the 2005 book Dying to Win: The Strategic Logic of Suicide Terrorism. He appointed Robert Pape as a foreign policy adviser.

Rep Paul Broun: Holder should be prosecuted for endangering the CIA. Waterboarding isn't that bad and saves thousands of lives

He said so on America News HQ on Fox. He seemed very scared. Even the host Gregg Jarrett said that Brown's argument was nonsensical.

"We even waterboard our own pilots, it's not that bad of a thing."

Bush didn't go to Mexico and look who bad it's doing. We should bomb Mexico. And Canada, for fun. The Canadians have been getting kind of uppity lately and need to be shown who's boss, we should handle them before it's too late.

Glenn Greenwald, Ideologue, dreaming in his bed

He needs to stop dreaming about terrorists turning NYC into a mushroom cloud and wake up, to the real world. Get out of bed and get underneath it with everyone else who puts Safety First, like he should be doing.

There is plenty of room your dogs to cower under there too, they can soothe you and calm your fears with some face licks.

maddymappo

The cost alone of securing these guys in NYC will be astronomical. It is senseless, and poor planning.

So where would you recommend they hold the trial?

Then again, for those who are looking forward to NYC turning into Peshawar and desire a final days scenario, such a highly charged trial in the midst of American's most famous city would have its allure.

You're right, I can't wait. I've been thumping my bible in anticipation of this scary scenario that you have presented without evidence.

maddymappo warns of mushroom clouds over NYC

But why plan to have this dog and pony show trial held in Manhatten, when it is foreseeable that it will invite maniacs annonymous from the four corners of the world to make a terror statement?

You really think that is going to happen? Could this trial result in NYC being turned into a mushroom cloud?

Not only that but securing the city costs a fortune.

They can hide under their beds for free.
