  • A Snowball's Chance in Hell. She needs more than charm on her side.

[Read the article: Will Bill's dough make trouble for Hillary?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Bill Clinton is a charming man who has done a lot of fund raising for the people of Africa, for HIV research, and for the environment. It's wonderful, but what does it have to do with Hillary's run for President? I don't think anything can help her as long as she's in the equation.

They seem like people who are very different from one another, like night and day. Bill is a likable southern gentleman who's drawl gets him distinguished as a gentle soul with a good heart. Hillary, on the other hand, is this strong, hard-voiced feminist (not feminine) neo-con who wants to change the state of this nation, which is something that all of the republicans have been saying, and with the same amount of cold, insincerity. That might attract the attention of republicans, but it will not put democratic voters at ease. She's a scary lady and very overpowering. I don't think that Bill is charming enough to change that.

  • Pass the cumin, allspice, and hot sauce... Yummmmmm!

When is the last time you calibrated for Predictometer, King? You better do it soon... I mean, as a demigod, you need to lead your followers and tell us what to think.

But seriously, I think the whole mix is going to be great for the fight to the World Series. Adds more spice to the pot, I say... especially if the Rockie newbies end up as one of the last two teams. They could make a name for themselves that really puts them on the map of baseball. It makes for good watching, even though it's on the dreaded TBS. (As a radio broadcasting fan, it would be a better game if you listened, and just turned down the volume on your TV for the visual enjoyment. "Cable is on"... yeah, right... except when it matters.)

As I've said before, I'm a die-hard Red Sox fan. But if they don't make it to the series (rotflmao), and the Rockies do, I'll still be watching.

  • The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly

[Read the article: Beyond the Multiplex]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"We Own the Night" sounds very complex, and allows the viewer to think and draw his own conclusions. From what its creator says, he hopes that a few people get what he is saying, than getting the whole message that he is trying to convey through his art wrong. That he is pleased to get that small audience shows that he is a true artist. He doesn't just lay it out, as it sounds like is done in "Sleuth", that seems to be relying on the controversial "sadomasochistic" vibe to get people in the theatres. It's important for a viewer to be engaged in a movie for its complexity, not to be told what is happening. The viewer is intelligent enough, (hopefully) to have an idea of what is going on, and it is an insult that makes the movie not worth being seen by that viewer.

    But maybe that's just me.

  • Let's Blow this Popsicle Stand

[Read the article: Let's abolish the Electoral College]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Disposing of the electoral college will scare the crap out of the republicans, because they'll be out of jobs. Voting has had no meaning due to the electoral college vote. It is necessary to bring back the power of one vote. The country will learn of this power and hone it in to look out for the country's best interests. No more will we see the egotistical bastards puff out their chests because they know they've already won. It is the only way to bring respect to this country and the people in it (and I'm not talking about politicos). Give the power back to each individual voter and bring good ol' democracy back into this country.

  • Why not?

The Bush Administration has been pissing and trampling on the Constitution since that ass has been in office, and he's gotten away with it. Why not for the greater good can it be changed? The states feel like their have no options, but this is it, their chance for changing that will give the collective that rise up to stand up for freedom, more power over the system.

Why not put the power in the hands of the people who are governed under the thumb of the conservatives, and miserable with the way things are? Are they too afraid to stand on their own?

  • C'mon!....

I'm glad that the Red Sox are the favorite for the Series, and it's going to be a great fight to get the prize. Even if Boston doesn't win, it's going to be a great Series.

Take it easy with that steroids crack, buddy. People might take offense to that comment (*growl!*). Don't be as dirty as that bloody sock. I am against anyone using steroids, but if someone gets a shot in a game due to an injury, that's different. But if Schilling is abusing (or any other player), then get him the hell outta the game.

Let's have fun watching for the love of game. That's what it's all about.

    Peace out, y'all!

  • For treatment of pain... what's the problem?

[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I would say that if the painkillers were abused, then that's a reason to object. But for treatment of legitimate pain, it's fair game.

  • It's about time!

Cheers to you, Al Gore. You are truly a humane human being.

  • Drawing from life

[Read the article: "I only dread one day at a time!"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Schulz drew characters from experiences that he dealt his real life. 'Peanuts' was his life. He was trapped in a box that represented each frame of the Sunday comic. It's sad to think about, but it is a sign of a true artist.

  • American Idiot

[Read the article: American flag pins are for idiots]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

G.W. Bush has lowered this country to show patriotism, as the "true" Americans sit blindly and accepts anything he says, since dissension in the ranks is deemed "unpatriotic". These people are idiots, who are easily swayed by authority, even though that authority has proven, time and time again, to be leading them down the wrong path. When does the bullshit end?

This country got completely screwed by the United States Government... and all we got was this lousy t-shirt.
