No matter what you dipshits say about Obama being pro-war, or pro-destruction of the enemies of Israel... please remember the following:

    A. Politicians have to get votes. That means ass kissing and alot of it. It also means ass kissing to sects of people with special interests within the many diverse communities in our country. Unfortunately those communities are overflowing with easily offended, pro-advocacy groups who need to be passified on the macro scale in order to win elections. Hyper-agenda toting factions including but not limited to: pro-christian, pro-zionist, pro-choice/life, pro-gun loving shit kickers, pro-racial/gender entitlement, pro-sexual liberty, and pro-just plain asshole, have to be coddled like infants everytime someone runs for an office. A candidate couldnt get half as far as Mike Gravel without saying things that sound warm and fuzzy to the audience listening. So Calling a politician out as a hypocrite or an opportunist is just stating the obvious and Obama is far from being the worst offender. I mean if Clinton(s) isnt a pandering machine then I dont know who is. I suppose my point is that passionate dysfunctional, one sided automotons have shaped the media starved landscape we lived in, so you really have no right to nitpick when someone is just playing by the rules.

    B. Clinton, deserving or not, was sitting right there beside him, like a cheerleader, quelling the suspicious (like duchebag Lieberman) and proclaiming Obama would be on the side of Israel. It is nothing more that ritualistic ceremony / hoop jumping but for some inane reason it has to be done.

Funny that AIPAC is the first get together after the nomination is announced isnt it? Thats because the American Israel Public Affairs Committee is one big ball of make you or break you lobby power. They certainly dont represent the views of all Jewish Americans but they most certainly want to hear what they want to hear... and if they dont, it only makes a candidates political ambitions difficult. I mean John Kerry forgot to attend in 2004... just keeding! but seriously he didnt attend.

On another note, its so refreshing to hear people use the name Rezko and Jerimiah Wright repeatedly on a message board. The glue factory called, they want their dead fucking horse back.

Have you read the first half of this message board? I mean come now, surely you cannot believe its a one sided mudslinging fight. I wholeheartedly think Clinton is one of the most plastic, out of touch persons to ever to run for election, but half the Clintonistas here have nothing but hate for Obama. I would say its an equally disgruntled group.

  • Sexism was not what lost this election

I am not sure Clinton did enough today to really connect with her supporters who have their doubts about Obama, and I say that because I feel she spent the majority of her commentary addressing the last vestige of divisiveness spliting the party. She seemed somewhat deflated in her repetitious pledge of support for Obama, and I suppose that's fair considering the dissapointment she is experiencing, but I got the feeling while listening to a crowd half booing everytime she said his name that her call for unity was falling, largely on deaf ears.

Sexism seems to be the latest ammunition being fired in retaliation to defend the loss of this hard waged fight. It has become the new talking point, and in some instances, its being attributed as the sole chink in the Clinton armor that cost her the election. I want to point out this as a misnomer, in the same way there are always those who cry foul when their team doesnt sinch the title. Rest assured there were many reasons why people chose not to support Clinton and most of them has to do with trust and character. Were there sexist comments designed to assassinate Clinton? Of course their were, but almost implicitly they came from the right wing noise machine. (Chris Matthews is just a rogue douchebag all his own)

It is horrible to be marginalized on any basis, but the contempt fueling this realization seems to be aimed squarely at Obama as if it were he who was throwing around the enuendos personally. To the contrary, Obama has been more than gracious with Clinton, both in praise and humility. And despite all the latest headlines, sexism was only a small part of this race.

Lets not forget that Obama faced equally disparaging comments and had to contend with the same sort of ugly, hatefilled sterotypes: too black, too white, too skinny, not christian enough, too urban-chrisitan, too young, too angry, too weak, too inexperienced, etc. Even senator Clinton took her shots at emasculating Obama (bowling comments) when it served her own agenda to retain white working class voters in Penn. I think feminists are all too familiar with double standards, but unfortunatley its an easy thing to overlook when its used to support your argument.

Sexism does not trump all other forms of discrimination. Just because their are many angry people who are upset about their candidate losing, it shouldnt inspire thousands to crusade against our party in protest. It only shows a lack of objectivity on thier part and portrays special interest selfishishness and spiteful intentions.

Not all Obama supporters go on tyrades and spill hate filled remarks toward Clinton or her supporters. Likewise, there have been plenty of horrible things said about Obama in these threads, largly spoken out of sheer ignorance and malice, some of which I was surprised to hear spouted by so-called democrats. Regardless, there has been alot of effort by level headed supporters of both sides to make valid logical arguments for why they support their candidate.

The loud obnoxious people just tend to get noticed more.
