  • My own prediction

[Read the article: "The Sopranos" prediction pool]

Sadly, I have to presume that the grand finale is going out with a wimper. The writing staff failed to take advantage of valuable last season episodes to arc any coherent ending to this. Its so rushed that I just know there is not enough time to delivery a quality ending. Where is the quality suspense when all season its been growing pains and family ties, then oops - blink your eyes and miss tony off his nephew. So we get suspense in the last two episodes? Seriously, thats it?

Are you kidding me? I invested 6 seasons with this, rock solid show and for what? To kill everyone off in less than 2 minutes?

So here is my predition, or my hope - Opening credit, queue song "gotcho selfa gun" Queue scene and ACTION:

CLOSE UP ON TONY'S FACE - TONY OPENS HIS EYES AND STARTS SCREAMING.

CAMERA SHOT OPENS TO FIND TONY AND THE HIDEOUT HOUSE ENGULFED IN FLAMES. TONY STILL SCREAMING.

END SCENE. QUEUE CREDITS. QUEUE MUSIC. "gotcho selfa gun!"

    FINE.

  • TV on th3 computooRz! - you dont have to speak like this to set it up, N00b.

I heard your blurb on NPR a few weeks ago and then I just stumbled onto this article. I have to say you didnt seem convinced that you could pull the plug with ease... but i have been riding the streaming content / downloadable torrent media techology for well over a year now and I would never switch back to cable.

AppleTV CrappleTv - Who needs a designer device with proprietary demands and content control? Now that computer video cards come in HDMI flavor, its never been easier. You can build a dedicated PC TV server for next to nothing. The Wireless keyboard and mouse, unlike the common remote, are hard to misplace and gives a whole new dimension to TV/internet action. Watch lost, and check email in the same breath. Thats the logical evolution!

Be it legal or illegal means to watch tv over the net, if you can wait approximately 3 hours later than the average person paying for cable to watch your favorite show, then unplugging is a no brainer.

  • Bizzaro I love you Bizzaro!

What kind of bizzaro world do we live in where an administration is so extreme even john ashcroft cant get on board with the craziness and the only hope is to catch him when he isnt conscious? That's the thing that makes me know 100% that these guys are psychotic.

  • The Bionic Turd - Hillary smells like the current administration, and its not rust colored roses

Michael Scherer is pretty funny, but he has bad taste in political candidates. Overlook for a moment all the bullet dodging, the endless platitudes, and the inability to actually emote in a human manner, its pretty obvious who you are rooting for when these are seen as bionic powers and not typical, if not depressing qualities in a presidential hopeful.

If the world woke up tomorrow and changed the official rules of presidential debate, and lifted the mandate which forces all politicians to only answer in a way that only Switzerland could fully appreciate - I think you would find that most who are running for this job (sans the right), would appear to be pretty genuine in their candid moments. Not so much for Hildawg. She is a pander monster... scratch that, she is the pander paradigm and the bizzaro world I just created would not slow her down a bit.

    Lets break it down!

Left on social issues: (Nod to you, Homosexual minority without healthcare) - cause really, all we need to keep us pacified is a little respect for diversity and a government to patch us up when we scrape our knees, right? Throw us a PC bone and your in the zone!

A hawk on foreign policy: (Nod to you heartland Republicans) - because who will keep our red blooded American kids safe and amber waves of frosted flakes flowing, with the ever looming, could strike at any moment, Al Qaeda boogie man on the loose? (which like most boogie men, is just an over-exaggerated and highly propagated collaborative creation between the administration and the almighty Newscorp press wing of our government.) BTW, Isn’t it funny how Al Qaeda just magically sprouted up in Iraq? Never mind the centuries old rift between Sunni and Shea, them’s Al Queso Cheese Heads over thar creating all the violence and problems! (Wink Wink to you Mr. Military Industrial Complex Republican - she will stay the course under your questionable pretense) $$$*CHA-CHING*$$$

And a question mark response on taxation: (Nod to you venture capitalist secular-money-is-the-only-god-for-me Republican) - Interesting because well, she does fall into that "IM RICH BIOTCH!" tax bracket now doesn’t she? She went with spitting out vague notions of fiscal responsibility instead. Who? Me? Or the Banking Industry? Didn’t they lend and lend until the dollar turned into a Chinese pancake?

Must be the latter she’s talking about though, as the Fed just rewarded bad behavior by dropping a full percentage point to entice investors and spur on the unethical practices of the lending industry - because who would protect us from the recession that would surely come if we tried to regulate like Warren G? Im personally surprised that they havent tried to blame the sub-prime market deal on the terrorist musings of Al queda ... but now I am just rambling.

  • My email header - AM SPARTACUS!!!

Keep in mind that there are negative repercussions in creating so much attention to this kind of story. The buzz created here today is the vehicle driving Col. Boylan toward a much more prominent career tomorrow - soon to be serving the executive branch media wing as an obedient mouthpiece on Fox news. Do we really want to be the catalyst for this kind of exposure in a world where the art of delivering manufactured information is highly sought after?
