Oh please...

This is Karl Rove 101: identify a vocal separatist group, swell their numbers with loyal McCainanites in Hillary clothing and hope to split the party.

Bottom line to PUMAs: your candidate, Hillary Clinton, has pledged her unqualified support for Barack Obama.

Now, either that means she's cynically playing ball with a process you believe to be invalid and hopelessly corrupt, in which case she's lying when she says she endorses Obama and she's perpetuating the very system you say you're fighting to change...

...or...

She's sincere in her endorsement and you acting precisely in opposition to her agenda.

So, which is it PUMAE? Should we NOT listen to Hillary Clinton because she's lying? Or should we NOT listen to Hillary Clinton because she's a naive dupe?

@Cat vs. Roomba

Cat, could you provide a reference to anyone who has suggested that the PUMAE should not be allowed to voice their asinine opinions?

I'd especially be interested in any references by Barack or Michelle Obama suggesting that their freedom of speech should not be respected.

Thank you.

Re: Just read the angry letters here

I see angry letters here, but I don't see a single sentence that says "they must be silenced."

Or do you not believe in the freedom of speech of those who would express anger at the PUMAE?

Are THEY to be silenced?

Show me one single actual quote where anyone here or anyone affiliated with the Obama campaign has said "the PUMAs must be silenced."

Not "the PUMAs are wrong" or "the PUMAs are idiots" or "the PUMAs annoy me" or "I hate the PUMAs" but rather "the PUMAs must be prevented from expressing themselves."

One sentence, please.

Original article: "Happy Hour for Hillary"

Right...

Hillary would ask you not to attend this event.

Hillary would ask you not to vote for John McCain on her behalf.

Hillary would urge you to vote for Barack Obama and ensure a Democratic administration.

But you know better. You know Hillary's "real mind." You know she's just "protecting her career."

Which is to say that you know she is lying. You know that when she stands at the podium and urges millions of Americans to support Barack Obama, that she does not, in fact believe what she is saying.

If Hillary is willing to lie about something this important, why should we believe her about anything?

You're not allowed...

...to ask Sarah Palin questions. She's a girl.

stop thinking like a slave

Your cousin's money is just that: your cousin's money. Not your money, not the family's money, his money. And you're allowing it to control you. His money is controlling you.

This is the thing, even if he did spare a million or two for you, that wouldn't make you happy. Your finances may be secured, but your identity will dwindle.

Inside of six months you'll be writing Cary another letter asking why you're haunted by feelings of inadequacy, why you're ashamed to tell your friends where your new found wealth comes from, how you lost a couple of hundred thousand in the tanking market and how that keeps you awake at night anxious about recouping the loss or going back to the well to ask for more.

In short, you've allowed your cousin's money to own you, to define you. You're not you. You're the guy who doesn't have a billion dollars.

As for Cary's suggestion of getting to know your cousin, well, that's all well and good. But ask yourself, would I be so all-fired excited about getting to know my poor, ailing cousin living on SSI?

Sarah Palin Responds

First let me say that just you know with regard to the tragedy of rape which so many women are havin' to deal with out in this great country and especially considering the difficult choices mothers have to make today here between the issues of family and career with so many women in the workforce today with the economy which gets back to what Senator McCain has been tryin' to say about the "health" concerns that so many hard working regular Joe and Jane Sixpacks find themselves struggling with that it can just break your heart but in that it's important to stay focused on the question of choosing life.

Hope that clears things up.

Don't forget the latest

8) The race is "tightening up"

and

9) Obama owes his lead to the financial crisis

Obama has been ahead of McCain for 48 out of the past 52 weeks:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/us/general_election_mccain_vs_obama-225.html

But because one of those 4 good McCain weeks happened right before the crisis (and right after the Republican convention), obviously that means that a McCain victory was practically a foregone conclusion until a pesky "actual issue" showed up.

And, of course, when the polls show a tie four weeks ago and a seven point lead for Obama today, that's naturally a sign that the race is "tightening up."

Tort reform anyone?

Whatever happened to the GOP's allergy to "frivolous" lawsuits?

What exactly should the remedy be against SNL?

What big government regulations should the court apply against late night sketch comedy?
