Lanham's Fictional Airfare Deals

To stray completely from the point (or pointlessness) of this article, I'd like to add that Mr. Lanham's tales of fabulous airfare deals are completely fictional. There is no $147 flight from Chicago to Dublin or from the U.S. to Anywhere-In-Europe and no fare even remotely that low offered by any major airline. I gather he directed a very cursory glance at the American Airlines home page and took their advertising at face value.

Fortunately, this doesn't really matter to most of us.

blood on their hands

I am appalled that PUMAs are willing to sacrifice the poor and elderly of our country and squander more lives of men and women in Iraq in order to satisfy their petty resentment. Shame on them!

Something not right about the woman

I actually backed Senator Clinton back in, oh, March, but I'm very glad now that I voted for Senator Obama in the primaries. I'm increasing convinced that there is something very wrong with that woman. She has an ego big enough to apply for statehood!

Mencken

It would be fabulously appropos if Fox News adopted H.L. Mencken's quote as its slogan:

"No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public"
