To stray completely from the point (or pointlessness) of this article, I'd like to add that Mr. Lanham's tales of fabulous airfare deals are completely fictional. There is no $147 flight from Chicago to Dublin or from the U.S. to Anywhere-In-Europe and no fare even remotely that low offered by any major airline. I gather he directed a very cursory glance at the American Airlines home page and took their advertising at face value.
Fortunately, this doesn't really matter to most of us.
At least you don't have to live here!

I actually backed Senator Clinton back in, oh, March, but I'm very glad now that I voted for Senator Obama in the primaries. I'm increasing convinced that there is something very wrong with that woman. She has an ego big enough to apply for statehood!
It would be fabulously appropos if Fox News adopted H.L. Mencken's quote as its slogan:
