hypocrites
[Read the article: Hypocrite environmentalists?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The founder of Earth Day, Gaylord Nelson, has said it is impossible to be an environmentalist and support increasing our population, but so many environmentalists support large amounts of immigration including allowing those who illegally entered the US to remain and to bring in their relatives (and those relatives' relatives).
-
WW2 and the military
[Read the article: U.S. soldiers used "comfort women," too]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]At the end of world war 2 the US government released prisoners from Nazi concentration camps if they were Jewish, a Gypsie, or a political prisoner. But you were held in the camps if you had been imprisoned for being gay (pink triangles).
-
Dobbs
[Read the article: You can't stop a tidal wave with a fork]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]At least Lou is right about the disaster of importing massive third world poverty. Los Angeles now has massive stretches that are no longer the US, but whole sections of the impoverished parts of Latin America. And Americans can no longer get a job in the sections of the economy where these immigrants and their employers have driven down the wages.
-
honesty
[Read the article: GOP candidates mum on immigration]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It helps to be honest. The article says that we "force law-abiding people to suffer to serve us".
This is a good Stalinist lie. We do not force anyone, and they, by definition, are not law-adiding. I do my best not to employ illegal aliens. The author of ths article knows he is lieing just as other bigots know they are lieing when they, for example, claim gay people want to convert straight people.
-
movements for the environment
[Read the article: Power to the people, 2.0]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Hopefully the Demo's will hear the call of progressives and envronmentalists to reduce our huge ecological footprint by reducing our population not increasing it through immigration, especially illegal immigration and help the working class by not bring in cheap labor.
-
selling out
[Read the article: Will immigration reform turn red states blue?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]To get votes from many Hispanics Democratic leaders are willing to sell out the American working class. African American Democrat from Texas Barbara Jordan opposed this in her Congressional report.
-
Scandinavian success
[Read the article: Immigration's irresistible force]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The successful, liberal Nordic democracies manage to keep out illegal immigrants and provide good wages for thier own people who do low skill labor.
-
immigration, not race
[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The article is really simply about why the rich want immigration and the cheaper labor it brings. The rich want to teach the American working class a good lesson. It is not just about baseball and race.
-
racist, too
[Read the article: More bad news for Bill]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]He also admitted that he declined to oppose the attorney general because they were both Hispanic. Do we want a racist like that?
-
racist
[Read the article: The Bill Richardson difference]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Richardson also has admitted not opposing Attorney General, Gonzalez, on the issue of the firing of federal attorneys because they are both Hispanic. Do we need such a racist?
-
reckless
[Read the article: A reckless strategy from a reckless administration]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]This administration is always reckless. It certainly is reckless in its support of illegal immigration with its attendant surge in our population adding to our degredation of the environment and damage to our working class.
-
"illegal labor"
[Read the article: Grape harvesters of illegal immigration wrath]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Mocking the term "illegal labor" seems to be the author's way of supporting labor done by slaves and small children as well as by people who have illegally entered a country and taken jobs illegally. Or did I misunderstand? Finland has basically no illegal labor, which helps their working class. The absence of illegal labor helps keep down the social conflict seen in the US as the result of "illegal labor" and helps Finland remain a highly successful liberal democracy. The police are required to turn over illegal immigrants to the immigration authorities when these illegal immigrants are found in the course of routine police work.
-
Nordic style
[Read the article: Placating the GOP base or protecting the workplace?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The successful, liberal Nordic democracies do Not allow illegal immigration or illegal hiring. The local police enforce immigration laws and help deport illegal immigrants. Raids are carried out to find those who might be working illegally, and then employers are punished and the immigrant expelled. As a result they have very successful liberal democracies.
-
environmental destruction
[Read the article: Since when is birth control a Malthusian disaster?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The world's population is certainly destroying our environment. So, why do we keep growing this country's population with immigration?
-
ACLU and Demos comlicit in violating immigration laws
[Read the article: Democrats' responsibility for Bush radicalism]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The ACLU and the Democrats have been complicit with Bush in not enforcing the laws on immigration and have thus badly damaged the working class and the environment as well as basic respect for the law.
-
liberty
[Read the article: Stronger government equals more freedom]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Effective goernment in the highly successful, liberal Nordic democracies produces their liberty and security, and this includes freedom from illegal immigration and criminal hiring. There is thus no race to the botom in the job arena.
-
scorn
[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The interviewer comments about "friendly homophobia" and the interviewee had a bit called "fag fridays". Wow. With friends like that who needs enemies. Both of these examples are consistent with the view that gay people are lesser mutants.
-
anti-illegal immigration left
[Read the article: The ballad of Ramos and Compean]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The anti-illegal immigration left is distressed by the actions of rogue politicians who promote criminal immigration and criminal hiring and foment ethnic conflict.
-
civil rights
[Read the article: Congress to New York (and Chicago and L.A.): Drop dead]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The liberal, progressive Nordic democracies have their local police participate in identifying and deporting illegal immigrants. We should do the same. If it takes a federal funds cut off to my city, LA, then so be it. It feels like my civil rights are being violated by illegal immigration.
-
they just don't like gay men
[Read the article: Larry Craig and "moral turpitude"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The Republicans and Democrats just don't like gay men. Inviting someone to have sex is not offensive. Just don't say yes. Women have cruised this male writer without fear of being fired from their job.
-
racist
[Read the article: The Times on Iowa: Condescend much?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"Hispanic' refers to a cultural background. It has nothing to do with race. Caucasians are found among Hispanics. And it is Mr. Richardson who is the "racist", having said he chose not to oppose the Attorney General because they were both Hispanic.
-
Nordic democracies
[Read the article: Good times for liberals]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The highly succesful, liberal Nordic democracies know that economic equality requires preventing illegal immigration, including the repatriation of illegal immigrants. It prevents undercutting working-class wages as well as preserving respect for the law, both essential ingredients to their success.
-
simply the truth
[Read the article: Genocide: An inconvenient truth]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]We ought to tell the truth, and the genocide resolution does that. If passing the resolution leads the Turks to show that they are not of a mentality that fits into Europe or the modern world generally, then showing that for all the world to see is a good thing. The US loses nothing if the Turks will not let us use their air base.
-
immigration and our environmental footprint
[Read the article: Tancredo pushes for more nuclear energy R&D]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Tancredo's work to enforce the laws on immigration actually serves to reduce this country's ecological footprint.
