It's amusing, in a disgusted way, to witness the high dungeon of flacks like stinky, who are in a shrieking tizzy over Obama not releasing photos of abuse that occurred DURING the Bush Regime at the behest of senior members of that regime, up to and including Rumsfeld, Cheney, and Bush himself. To these amoral cretins the decision to not release the photos of the crimes is a GREATER crime than whatever it is that the photos depict.
Such reactions are, in a word, insane.
Women, women, women... DON'T shave your pubes. Many of us like you just the way you are.
The "workers" that you're busily shedding belated crocodile tears over ARE "the UAW"....
just thought you might like to be made aware of that. I know you don't understand unions, or the labor movement, and have, rightfully, thought that you entirely killed organized labor, but we've had couple elections now and they helped kick your sorry asses to the curb.
Ford had essentially the same contract with the UAW as the other two US auto companies did. You can't reasonably lay the blame for this on organized labor's doorstep. They were only one side of the bargaining table, and they certainly weren't in the board room when the decisions were made to "go big" for at least the last four + decades.
is bringing the body of his dead still born child home for the other kids to play with.
Well... he can write, for one thing. And be amusing, for another. Accurate, as well.
Santorum? Not so much. I question the man's sanity, let alone his supposed "morality".
but that ass your seeing?.... it's your own.
you're welcome
That was more or less the observation I made as a wee lad of about five... asking my mother "Why are there so many churches? Why isn't there only one church, if there's only one God?".... her stammering answer only confirmed my child's impression of "bullshit"... it was at that moment my still unformed opinion of "God" and "religion" was formed. NOTHING has surfaced to change that impression in the subsequent 55 years. To the contrary, every experience I've had with ANY organized religion has confirmed my initial assessment.
I've heard from various sources that the Feds are thinking of assembling a case against Roeder. So... perhaps we should just let this develop for a bit, and not just assume that law enforcement doesn't take the threat of religious zealots seriously. I'm no friend of cops - anything but - however, my experience tells me that many, many law enforcement types are pros, and take their entire job seriously. It takes careful planning to develop charges that will stick in court. This is one that nobody would want to botch by some miscalculation or simple mistake early on in the investigation. While it's possible that Roeder is the quintessential "lone gunman", I imagine that a LOT of folks are getting a bit of extra scrutiny these days. We'll see what happens by this time next week.
Most of the Limbaugh masses are overweight, pasty, momma's boys just like their Dear Leader. They talk a good game - provided that they have their talking points memorized - but the vast majority are afraid of their own shadows.
All these self appointed protectors of the poor, abused, discriminated against, pitiful "white men".... I AM A WHITE MAN, and I don't feel in the least bit threatened, suspicious, or denigrated by anything Sotomayor has said. I fully understand the pass my white skin and gender has given me on many occasions. Here's one white man who thinks that the boulevards of power should be opened fully to everyone. The more power we ALL have, the happier I'll be...
I'm just sick of these pathetic whiny whities.... and their delusional, paranoid fears.
Isn't the Catholic quota filled? How about an overt atheist or two? Or a pot head as drug czar?
Republicans are Republicans first, NOT Americans.
It's too early to tell which one of these venal narcissists would be best for insuring the continued political misfortunes of the Republican party. At this point, they appear to be equally qualified to play that role. But it's early and it's a target rich environment. And who knows... maybe Obama will actually turn out to be a closet leftist!?!?
Every generation has a few lucky fellows who get to be stay at home dads. I did my stint in the very early 70s, and then again, in the 80s and 90s. Not everyone is cut out for it, no matter which gender you reference. I'm glad you found your peace with it. In a life filled with astonishing experiences, being fully involved in my children's lives is by far my greatest joy.
And now, I'm the primary babysitter of a one year old "tornado" grandson.
Well... there goes (non) Joe the (non) plumber's fame, as well as Bible Spice.
Does this mean we can stop asking who the leader of the Republican party is now?
And the ONLY advice that I would give to ANYONE, regardless of gender, contemplating a "career" in music would be "don't quit your day job".
It's a vow of poverty for the vast majority of professional musicians out here.
But I wouldn't trade it for anything.
That the Dems shouldn't get complacent, BUT I don't really believe that they have much to fear from their right, or even that the greatest threat to them comes from the center. The D's real problems could very well be their own "base"... the left. Without a fully energized, engaged progressive wing, the Ds CAN lose and lose big. It's happened many times before.
The complacency that "they can't go anywhere else" is only partially true. The Democratic Party's base can simply chose not to participate. That alone could be enough to put the slugs back in power.
