IOW

"It's not my fault!"

How could he be blamed for what the wooden dummy on his knee said?

Is it just me...

... or is there something creepy about a woman using the term "girlie man" as a pejorative?

GOP death spiral

I, for one, am glad that the right wing is concentrating on their own cartoon version of reality. Choosing an infamous boogie man like Sharpton to have on simply plays to their increasingly marginalized and shrinking base. The poor dears obviously can't understand the simple grade school arithmetic of limiting themselves to paranoid, white, southern males.

My farewell wish for Bush

A hideously disfiguring, humiliating, slow and painful medical condition leading inevitably to an ignomous death and an unmarked pauper's grave in the midst of a toxic waste dump.

Good bye and good luck to you, George. May you receive every measure of what you deserve.

Some people

Have a propensity to rationalize their paranoia and bigotry by asserting the whims of imaginary, omnipotent beings. While that probably doesn't mean we should abolish religion entirely, these individuals need to control their desires to impose their conditions on the rest of mankind.

and anyway....

Huckabee is a bass player for (imaginary) God's sake. In a "CLASSIC ROCK" band.... no less.

What do you expect?

Wednesday, January 14, 2009 10:44 AM

well...

While I'm solidly of the execute all Bush regime loyalists and run the rest of the registered Republicans into the sea school, I'm, thankfully, not the president-elect. I don't think it hurts to "talk" to all "sides". Whether this portends more capitulations like the FISA vote and craven pandering to people I consider sworn enemies of democracy, or brilliant political co-opting remains to be seen. I, personally, really felt that I had no reasonable alternatives to voting for Obama. I'm willing to wait four years to see if I'll regret that vote.

oh yeah?

If this son of a bitch doesn't rot in hell, there is no God.

Where Bob Wills is still the king

Yeah... Ann Richards... you're right.

And Bob Wills, and Ray Benson, and Billy Gibbons, and Janice Joplin, and.... on and on. You are right to remind us that the transplanted Yankee fraud isn't representative of Texas, and in fact isn't even a REAL Texan, in spite of his patently fake accent and phony "aw shucks" jive.

If you're going to quote Ed Sanders...

... at least give him and the Fugs credit.

Thursday, January 15, 2009 01:07 PM

Oh

Well hell... ya learn somethin' every day. It was Steve Weber, late of the Holy Modal Rounders, but then of the Fugs who wrote "Boobs a lot"... I'll be darned.

The door...

On his way out... Let the damned door hit the son of a bitch in the back of the head, knock him on his ass, and break his fool pencil neck.

fie! OUT damned Bush, OUT!

Friday, January 16, 2009 12:00 PM

Kweul.....

Wow... this guy would be a GREAT choice for Fascist Party Hack in Charge. More of the same whining and losing... MORE! MORE! MORE! What can I do to urge that the party of Bush put this Troglodyte in charge?

Friday, January 16, 2009 12:27 PM

Seriously

The entire group of cast offs vying for the head of the RNC is very similar to the sort of "leadership" that the Oregon Republicans have chosen for the last few cycles. This has left that state branch of the party wallowing in disarray and impotence, without a single statewide office holder. They couldn't even marshall candidates for a lot of offices during the last election. The direction that the national party apparatus is heading is nearly an exact mirror image of the Oregon branch.

It really appears that Republicans are incapable of self evaluation or any sort of introspection whatsoever. Their habit of circling the wagons and their overall obsession with clinging to an unbending unified set of talking points causes them to behave just like lemmings. The moment they started to suffer defeats, the only "take away" they were able to process was to continue to do more of the exact same thing that led to their initial defeats.

As happy as I am to see the current version of the Republican party in a death spiral, I honestly think that this country desperately needs a CREDIBLE opposition party. It's unfortunate that the GOP has proven time and time again that they are incapable of filling that role. They've certainly proven that they can't govern. What is the role of this rapidly becoming irrelevant organization?

Original article: Ain't no stopping them now

It fills my heart with joy

To see the frothing right wing idiots in such a spitting dither over the defeat of American Fascism. May all you Bush supporters spend the next 8 years in the steaming, impotent rage that you so richly deserve. If anything is left of your party at that point, I'll be glad to continue to gloat at your pathetic whining. Enjoy your time in the wilderness, right wing freaks... may it last an entire forty years (at least).

Cheny in a wheelchair?

Does this mean the taxpayer is going to be on the hook for a wheelchair ramp to the gallows?

We can only hope.

Original article: Barack Obama is president

you poor sad dead enders...

Lead, follow, or get out of the way.

Your "leader" proved incapable of being one. Your "path" turned out to be a dead end. A majority of your fellow citizens are extremely relieved that the era so many of you are intent on continuing is slammed shut and over. You can continue to wallow in delusional self pity, but you're on your own now.

Records?

We don't need no steeennkking records!

Sentence first! Verdict later!!!!

Seriously, karma will get this subhuman shitstain, if nothing else will.

Original article: At last

The Obamas are a great couple, BUT...

Poor Barack isn't much of a dancer. That's probably all the more endearing to this old two left foot fellow. He basically does the "I can't do this" shuffle - back and forth from foot to foot - that a lot of us guys do when we have to dance slow while being watched. There was one point where he tried to spin Michelle, and it predictably didn't work very well. She laughed at him. He laughed. It reminded me of my own 30 year marriage.

Nice to have real human beings in the White House again.
