  • how many libertarians does it take to change a light bulb...

[Read the article: Bush's 2001 condemnation of Russia's human rights abuses]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Moan is still moaning about what is or is not libertarian.(It's my label, not yours, damn it!)

Shitter is still on the pot.

Clown_sense still makes sense(?) Make mead not sense!

Some things never change but my mead still gets better with age.

    PS

    Nothing fails like prayer

  • Who's your daddy?

[Read the article: Michelle Malkin's hate sites]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

but Hillary is the favorite for the Dem nomination; she was chosen (by whom??)

    That would be AIPAC.

  • The Constitution in a body bag

[Read the article: Self-satire scales new heights]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

[The constitution] "...it will continue to live only so long as we continue to recognize its wisdom and division of authority."

Since these things are unrecognizable to the Bush administration,

Bush has just declared the constitution dead. Long live the constitution!

  • "SPEAKIN' OF BEING BLOCKED

  • War can be good...

    [Read the article: Various items]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I sent this email to the UMASS republicans.

Will you be posting results of your cost-benefit analysis of the Iraq war? I mean, how many people know that the computer mouse was a result of cold war missle control systems? (Remember the video game 'Missle Command')

    War can be good!

  • Nevadans ain't the brightest, but...

[Read the article: Harry Reid's FISA games]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

via AP Nevada last year ranked 46th in the nation when it comes to the number of adults per capita who have earned two- and four-year college degrees, according to a new report.

I live in Nevada and I can tell you intellectual curiosity is not high on the list for most people. But does that excuse Reid's behavior? No; he's in somebody's cross hairs or somebody's pocket. Typical politics.

Nevada's other senator Ensign (R) has just announced legislation he is pushing to reevaluate the most recent NIE on Iran because we 'can't trust' the politics behind the NIE.

Besides, it said something other than what he wanted to hear...

  • Called Reid's offices

[Read the article: Harry Reid's FISA games]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I spoke to a polite but obviously tired staffer at Reid's DC office. I asked about Reid's position on telecom amnesty and the response was that he did not know which bill would be brought to the floor. So I asked if it was possible that Reid would support amnesty since he had not taken the position of not supporting amnesty. Again the staffer did not know which bill would be brought to the floor. I asked why it was so difficult for the senator to decide for or against amnesty. Again the staffer did not know which bill would be brought to the floor.

I called Reid's local office in Reno and a very abrupt individual said he would send my question on amnesty to Reid in DC for a written response. The man said all questions are forwarded to DC and no positions of Reid would be clarified by the local office. Nice.

    Fuck you too Harry.

  • Don't forget pornography

[Read the article: The Lawless Surveillance State]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Surveillance is also targeted to those extra evil people who look at naked bodies. Defilers of Jesus!

See, shoots_self_242_times_a_day has it right when she says Bush breaks the law for the good of the country, not to get a BJ because that just feels good.

Calling it 'Illegal Surveillance' just sounds bad but it's really good for you, for god, and for your country. You just don't know it because you are not as smarter as George Bush is.

    (just lost my lunch)

  • What would jesus do...

[Read the article: Political Christmas wishes]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    If he actually existed? (Jesusneverexisted.com)

Religion is proof that man has not evolved much over the last 10,000 years. I mean, how could you not trust a priest? They know the real truth when it comes to controlling people's behavior. Keep them afraid of something, something they can't see so they don't know when it might strike. Remind them every Sunday that it could attack at any time so get yourself right with God, or else! Eternal damnation, lake of fire, islamofacists, etc.

Some of us have figured it out but most have not.

I have faith that my fellow humans will continue to 'serve' some figure in the sky, praying for good things to befall our side, all while blowing the fuck out of each other.

    God bless...

  • Russert tanked?

[Read the article: Hillary and the mean kids on the bus]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Did anybody else think old Tim Russert was "under the weather" tonight on NBC evening news?

His stellar prognostications always make my day...

And yet tonight I was left hanging, not unlike a maraschino cherry in a hi-ball.

    Damn those ice cubes!

C'mon Timmy, whose gonna win it all?

  • Romney White House?

[Read the article: Illustrative New Hampshire snippets]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

If Romney makes it to the White House, would he answer to his party or his church? They are pretty much one in the same.

Perhaps this explains the recent behavior of Harry Reid. The Mormon Church has a nasty habit of excommunicating those who do not follow church doctrine, much of which is dictated by church elders. If those elders asked Harry not to impede the president's grand plan, what would Harry do? How about bringing legislation to the floor that contained virtually everything the president could ever want.

  • military credibility?

[Read the article: The U.S. military inflicts more damage on its own credibility]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The military has never set the record straight with regards to the 2 hour long Israeli attack on the USS Liberty. Forty years ago Israeli torpedo boats machine gunned the Liberty's life rafts, a war crime. Twice as many sailors were lost compared to the USS Cole incident and the Navy still refuses to acknowledge what really happened.

  • Look! A traumatized country!

[Read the article: Michael Gordon "reports" on the "only serious" Iraq option: Staying forever]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Gordon ...grappling with decisions on how to try to stabilize a traumatized country

As if we came across a wounded country laying on the side of the road. 'We must help this traumatized nation because that is the American way!'

Help is on the way. The bombings will continue until the situation in Iraq is stable.
