it's the death of GOP electoral tactics on every subject -

and let's hope after the Debate between Biden and Palin the old warriors on the so called left finally will realize how 'superior' Obamas 'High road' tactic was from the beginning.

Before the McCain-Obama debate there still was this loud call for 'revenge' and 'show him the outrage' chorus and only after the backlash to McCains huffing and puffing more and more commenters understood what was going on (as if Hillarys defeat wouldn't have been already obvious enough)

And sure - there always will be the dinosaurs (like Limbaugh or Hannity) with their poisonous rhetoric but they will be restricted to satisfy their own fringe dudetts and dudes and in a political landscape where the Independents are playing a bigger and bigger role they are

destined to die out - But - I know how much fun it is for the dinosaurs on both sides to beat each other up with frying pans but that's not IN anymore - it's soo uncool and OUT -

The cool dudetts and dudes call their enemies 'cute' or 'adorable' and that's so much more fun and so much more devestating than calling somebody an a...hole!

and -

we want to be 'cool' Glenn - especially in times when young dudetts and dudes are coming more and more to the conclusion again that 'wars are out' - It might not be the wisest wordy way - but it is far more effective than a lot of raging against the right and probably one of the major reasons why the GOP electoral tactics on the war don't work anymore!

hey -

and with OJ's verdict there might be hope for 'the rule of law'!!

ondolette -

or as Paul Krugman wrote this morning in the Herald Tribune it's much worst than anybody thinks - and this dude really seems to understand economics - and that's where this idotic comparison between Bush fearmongerin and the fear about a economic meltdown should

finally end - I understand that our American mind can not think beyond one week and that's

probably why they told these congress idiots all these horror scenarios- and i understand that

these are great times to show the so called 'ruling class' what's what - But you know what - by

US standard i am not even middle class and i still consider myself a member of the 'ruling class' (if you take it literally) - and as a member of this 'ruling class' in a democracy i have the

possibilty to f... up a whole economy (and WE did) - and to get to the point - you might be an

expert in math and in torture but in economics you are just cute and adorable!

and ondolette -

don't you think it's still okay to use the word 'idotic'? -

'Awesome' just wouldn't cut it...

Saturday, October 4, 2008 02:12 AM

and my correction about Palin-

- when i wrote:

'She is just a hairdo' i was completely wrong - and I'm sure I'm not the only female in America who, when Palin dropped her first wink, sat up a little straighter on the couch and said, "Hey, I think she just winked at me." And her smile. By the end, when she clearly knew she was doing well, it was so sparkling it was almost mesmerizing. It sent little starbursts through the screen and ricocheting around the living rooms of America and I seriously considering becoming a lesbian -

but only if i don't have to move to Alaska.

dear GC -

as always we agree in substance - and just perhaps not in style - or as my grandma likes to say: Today I don't feel like a bloodbath so i will make fun of you - And believe me - there are forceful warriors on the left who might think, that a Jon Stewart could be much more effective than a Glenn Greenwald (oh - i didn't write that - the devil - ah - some Repugs made me) and

you also have to believe me that nothing is much more hurtful for a Repug or a lawyer to be laughed at and if you still don't believe it just ask Glenn - and to get serious -

Ondolette - i still don't get it why a grown-up promotes a 'do nothing plan' because he believes in the fairy tale of a little boy crying wolf - while his friends complain that nothing had been done before and if a 'the sky is falling guy' rants against a 'the sky is falling mentality' because it's not about national security - but about the economy that's... well... definitely 'awesome'!
