I finally got it

As nobody wants to "play" with me I had to come up with a conclusion all by myself.

It is "humor" which schould be the decisive point to choose a

candidate.

Isn't it the biggest most amazing quality we have - This abilty to laugh about ourselves?

They don't do that over there in France - its nearly impossible in Germany - they have a hard time even in there England and don'tlet me start with Saudi Arabia!

If we would have put Bush through this test he would have lost!

(remember the face he made when Colbert spoke)

And the best thing it's nearly impossiblle to "swiftboat" a funny person!

And I remember fondly - wow - Bill was funny - I mean he is - he could be funny again - but Hillary?

I guess there is no other possibility to vote for Obama!

amen -

but she still wasn't funny!

hold the horses -

cowboys - Obama took Missouri and the "Show me State" always

picks "the final winner" - thats a fact and bothing but a fact!

Wednesday, February 6, 2008 07:49 AM

I'm still here

and Obamas success in Iowa gave me back the believe in the

American people

show me

the "Omen" - I just wanted to make the point that out of

the last 26 times the "Show me State" Missouri 25 times picked the winner of the Democrats isn't that a great "Omen" for

Obama!

let's celebrate -

the fact, that even the "experts" are unable to decide who won this one - because it might be the final win of the "Know-nothings" against the "Know-it-alls".

I might be the only one who won - because I frankly admit -

I am a "Know-nothing"!

I never will know, if Hillary or Obama is more "experienced" -And I never ever will know before, who stands a better chance against "the evil Repugs".

Sure I could speculate, like all the "Know-it-alls" on Salon, who constanly throw out these amazing informations. But as long as it is put together in such a emotional and contradictory way, why would I bother.

On my first post on Salon (I was still a "Know-itall") -

I wrote, that we always will choose our President, by voting for the best guy to have a beer with.

That might have been a very "old" and shallow thought - but after reading the same letters on Salon, over and over -

from writers, who clearly already had made up their minds(Joan) - it made no sense to read all the "good" and "objective" reasons for their decission.

I'm also a "information junkie" and I took in, every available "bit" I could get about the candidates,

but I also happyly confess - the final decision was made with my heart. And if I now look out for new information I only want the "good" and "original" stuff.

A long time ago America was the country of the "Original Thinker" (Cahoun)- and from time to time an impatient Salonista begs for an excourse of the "real"issues".

But what are they?

I guess we all desperately want a Democrat to take the White House. So why don't we plot, rally and roll without torturing each other with the same talking points. Instead of writing another useless letter about my choice for Obama I yesterday went out to a Republican collegue, and with the help of a bottle of wine - and pretending I was a "Know- nothing" I convinced him to vote for Hillary or Obama in November.

Let's celebrate!

dear joan -

you asked me, who would be the best Democrat to beat John Mc Cain and the answer is very easy: I have no idea!

But I do know - that anybody who pretends to know the answer to this question is as fool.

Now - that would imply, that there are a lot of fools on Salon and that's not true. But as I understand your need to fill this site with content I have a very constructive suggestion.

Why don't you ask us next time: What we all can do, to beat Mc Cain- whoever the "Dem" will be!

And please don't say, that might be premature.

Trying to influence the ongoing battle between the "Fans" of Hillary and Obama might be entertaining but it creates very dissapointing result (tension, headaches and the worst - a growing dislike for our fellow Salonistas) .

Even you look terrible worried in your videos - and of all people you should be positive and uplifting. Salon could be such a formidable "machine" in helping to hand John McCain

a formidable defeat - We just have to get together and into action - Please inspire us Joan!
