what's missing -

from the democratic convention is the unbelievable pessimism Glenn and most of you gals

and guys are providing - and i thought my German grandfather was 'the most negative person' i ever had met - If i didn't finish my breakfast he reminded me on the starving children in Africa and his favorite subject at family 'gatherings' was to bring up all the 'dirt' every family seems to have under their rugs.

I know i should not compare the democratic party to a 'human' family but another poster came up with this - you dont p... in your own pool at parties - and it would have been utterly foolish to spent valuable celebration time to p... in the neighbors...

And dont take me wrong i'm all for laughing the republicans out of every political post they ever hold but if you are serious about a witch hunt - when will Glenn finally post a thorough valuation of the real pro and cons of negative attacks - Did he ever thought it all the way through?

Doesnt it give him pause for thought - that the 'masters' of the negative attacks are undoubtebly the most despised and hated people in America?

And who should do the dirty deed? I am all for calling out the evildoers for their evildoing - but please in a way were i dont find myself suddenly on their side.

I wrote it before and i only can repeat - everybody knows that negative attacks work - BUT FOR WHAT PRICE?!

Obama undoubtebtly gave us (the younger and not quite so cynic crowd) - a lot of hope - and i know - bla- bla - hope - this hope that hope - but when i watched Michelle Obama

talk (i'm still amazed) and watched Hillary and Bill AND Biden - i thought what thoughtfull, sensible, great, intelligent and reasonable people and i didnt want them to turn in my German grandfather - and if there would a fairy and she would grant me a wish i would beg her to turn me into Michelle (perhaps i could keep the blue eyes) and even these i would give gladly away - so why don't you all get a grip on it - and write Michelles words down on a paper - that you promise to 'treat people with respect- even if you don't agree with them - and please repeat it a hundred times - because if Obama ever would give up that quality - i would bet all my Barbies (and the Dollhouse) and for Derbig i would give the old yamaha of my father too that he WE not only would loose this election but all the respect and sympathie anybody ever had for him.

lori -

if you would put a 'perhaps' in front of your 'winning' i might agree because you dont have the 'proof of the pudding' yet and perhaps if you talk to Hillary she perhaps would tell you that she should have adopted the very positive 'strategy' bill was so succesful with - Sayin as we know nobody knows what will be the end result but one thing i can tell you - it feels a lot better to win with Obama than with Bush and perhaps if you would have to win like Bush it actually would be one of the worst defeats you ever had experienced!

the future really doesnt scare me at all because i think there is a chance that a bunch of great idiots have mad the American people so mad that they even will vote down the racists.

Thursday, August 28, 2008 12:09 PM

and hey -

its not 2000 anymore and not even 2008 - talk to a hummer salesman - or to a realtor -

they might to have to adjust their 'strategy' too.

Thursday, August 28, 2008 12:13 PM

and hey -

the topic is - whats missing from the democratic convention and a dude called sinnard attacks another poster?

Thursday, August 28, 2008 12:18 PM

what really is missing-

from the democratic convention is Friedensreich Freudenberger (peaceful happymountain) because he just cam in and looked over my shoulder and then he said: Die Amis lernen nie -

die werden sich noch gegenseitig ueber die Ruebe hauen wenn du schon in Rente bist und

schreib diesem oo es it deine Party was sonst!

Thursday, August 28, 2008 12:29 PM

sorry -

i forgot to translate: 'these Americans never learn - they still will beat eachother up when you thats me) are already retired - and then i threw him out - coming in here insulting my fellow

countrymen - the nerve...

pedinska -

i'm not so sure about the field of players - dataguys definitly would have gotten a red card and sinnard also would be in danger if there would be a referee around.

lori -

i wish i could be as sure as you are in your believes - but as i said before for me and a lot of people of my age 2004 is ancient history and we dont do things anymore the way you did it in 2004 and the joy (and the stress) of living in the sommer of 2008 it has been a completely different picture than the winter of 2007-2008 and a lot of things i believed in last year have changed already and not because i have changed and perhaps the real problem hear is - that realtors and bankers and hummer car salesman were thinking what you are thinking and now they are thinking - what were we thinking about -

Thursday, August 28, 2008 01:15 PM

sinnard -

you really think that my views were missing from the democratic convention?

I take it as a compliment - thank you!

Thursday, August 28, 2008 01:25 PM

sinnard -

you did it again - you are so much off topic that a dude like sinnard could come around and give you a warning - in soccer you already would have to watch the game from the sideline -

ask pedinska if you dont believe me -

and now back to what is missing from the demcratic convention ----
