BUT -

as the question - if ‘smear’ should also be used by us (the good guys) - has been some kind of a ‘running gag’ on this blog - i would like to answer it for once and for ever.

Sure ‘smear works’! - It always worked - and it didn’t -

BECAUSE it mainly works with poor confused and uninformed people - and it works especially well with- (sorry to use such a nasty word) - ‘assholes’.

BUT at the same time it turns a lot of people off - (the good guys) So --you have to be very very careful to use ‘smear’ and you better not miss the ‘turning point’, where the majority is turned off and its starts to become counterproductive.

Some wise people argue this point already has been reached.

I’m not wise - so i don’t know. But i don’t have to know it, because there is this much more important point: Who has to "apply" this ‘smear’?
