[Read the article: Quote of the day: Obama on Clinton ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

As father and daughter - we just don't know what to think about this quote?

    What does it mean?!

Does it mean, what it supposes to mean - or is there some "transcended meaning" We didn't get? For example when one of our fellow Salonistas called us "a piece of s..." we understood it right away. My daughter felt so bad, that she honestly suggested I should write this Salonista back and tell her that I'm willing to change my mind from Obama to Hillary - because there is a girl in her school- just like Cy - and so unhappy it could make an old man cry.

"Stick to the Topic is one of the "credos" of Salon and I will try to - But in this confusing, world, there are such a lot of things, which seem to be the "the topic" - as everybody - who not only reads Salon - but also watches Jon Stewart or Colbert will realize. "Snap out of it democrats" Jon might say - you think too much! And if you don't turn around this boat you might have to be destroyed - with the most formidable force America knows in the year 2008 - a lot of laughter - or again with some "deep and serious" thoughts about Hillary and her "experience"?

We know a quote or two - too and our favorite one is from "Gorby" : The one who is late - will be punished by life.

It is 2008 not 2000 and not 2004 anymore, and yesterday we read this article about:"America closes the book on Intelligence"- and there were a lot of intelligent letters in response - but only two with the conclusion: It might be the times are changing. I (the father) got quite a decent education, but if I try to work my cell phone I have to ask my daughter. She also typed nearly all of our letters and -if you read some - you will notice her terrible spelling.

But - as the daughter of an American-German couple she only visited schools, which taught in German and in French.

In these languages her spelling is pretty good and Salon now helped her to improve her English too.

    Thank you!!

But you didn't help her much to become a "witty and independent thinker".

Why - she asked - if Hillary is so "experienced" - didn't she just hug Obama at their first debate and offered "to change the world together"! And I thought, that would have been a mighty good idea. It would have put him in his place and he probably never would have recovered from that "hug"- And I thought about the "nasty Repugs" and if you already understand the theory that Hillarys nomination would unite them - why are there mo democrats, who thank Hannity or Rush Limbaugh for delivering so many votes to the democratic party?

The first letter we read from Salon was by AJCalhoun and I -

( the father) was thrilled -before I found out that he is a "reformed Republican" and that might the reason why he "so brilliant" thinks outside the box. Before I read Salon I also hooked up to a housing bubble blog too (I will not name it - so please don't delete) These guys were - and they - "are" great - A group of real "Visionaries", who predicted everything - from the collapse of the housing market (at the right time) to the coming recession. Every "idiot" who tries to "enter" their "site" is exposed and leaves embarrassed.

Perhaps it was our fault that we thought a "Blog" about Politics or Policies could serve a similar honorable purpose, and before everybody will attack me for my "idiotic and simplistic" views - save "the fire" - because we are finally and definitly leaving - And we only will return, if AJCalhoun is our editor and the notorious W.E.S heads the war room.
