The media and everyday people call the person, who did something heroic, a "hero". The hero says, "No no I'm no hero, I'm just doing my job", but everyone knows that he REALLY is a hero.

You, for some apparent reason, think he's not a hero. According to your logic, the cop who saves your life is not a hero, the firefighter who rescues a baby from a burning building is not a hero, the secret service agent who takes a bullet for the President is not a hero.

WHO IS a hero then? I guess you have to be "off the job" to qualify. Good thing 99% of the population don't think like you.

Is there any concern about these guys indoctrinating the other inmates to their branch of radical Islam?

This has been a problem in prisons overseas, so I hope they make every effort to keep these guys separate from the general prison population. For some reason however, I have a feeling they won't.

We've been doing this forever. We gave Pakistan the benefit of the doubt to clean up Al Qaeda and Taliban in their tribal regions, they failed miserably, so we send drones in there.

Is this really that surprising they would rather harbor terrorists than help the US, considering ISI was linked to the 9/11 attacks?

Its just interesting that he chose his very FIRST interview to be with them. Looks like he's trying to get good with the Muslims right away, making it look like they're "first" in his mind.

But technically, Dubai and the Saudis (who control al-Arabiya)are our "allies", so this isn't like he chose his first on Iranian TV.

What I find VERY intersting, is his statements about how he's going to give a speech to the Muslim world from a Muslim capital. This is the first I'd heard of it, but the interviewer speaks about it like its common knowledge. Any speculation where?

I was always under the impression that launching attacks FROM schools, UN buildings, UN vehicles, and especially not wearing uniforms while doing so, were war crimes.

Hmmmm, if that truly was the case, then how are there UN resolutions against Al Qaeda and the Taliban? Al Qaeda has never had their own country, and the Taliban doesn't anymore, yet the UN has passed several resolutions against them. Neither are members of the UN, nor are they the governments of any countries.

So there goes that theory.
