Rashomon
[Read the article: A closer look at Clinton's Bosnia schedule]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You are suggesting that Hillary is embellishing the truth but that is not necessarily true. The trip may stand out in her mind because she was very, very afraid and in her mind there were snipers all over the place. Maybe she did run from the plane with her head ducked. Maybe no one else did.
If we liberals can all make fun of this incident, just think of the field day the Republicans will have in the general election: Hillary running for her life with a guitarist and a comedian vs. John McCain being shot down, tortured, and held prisoner for five years.

The Problem With Logic
[Read the article: Rev. Jeremiah Wright isn't the problem]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Your article was very logical but if logic meant anything to the electorate either Al Gore or John Kerry would be President. If Obama is the candidate the video clips of Wright will be shown over and over and it will affect the outcome of the election. That may not be fair but all the logic in the world won't make it any less true.

Hold on a minute
[Read the article: Obama and the Holocaust]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Is this as bad as Ronald Reagan claiming that he personally was there at the liberation of the concentration camps?

Learn from experience?
[Read the article: Penn spreads the blame around]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I hope Obama plans to run his own campaign. Gore and Kerry should have been shoe-ins against someone with as few brains and as much baggage as Bush, yet, they listened to their professional advisers and blew it. I apologize for the sport's metaphor but it's like a ball team hiring a manager with a losing record and expecting a different result. It IS time for change and that includes not letting the old guard anywhere near the campaign.

Phony
[Read the article: MoveOn, AFSCME hit McCain on Iraq]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It seems terribly contrived. I kept wondering if that was a real mother and child or an actress with a rent-a-baby. Come on MoveOn, you can do better.

Any idiot knows ...
[Read the article: MoveOn, AFSCME hit McCain on Iraq]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"Any idiot knows McCain does not want 100 years of war...". True enough and I think this ad is likely to appeal only to those of us who are already pro Obama. Speaking of idiots, anyone with any sense should know that we are not in Iraq to protect innocent Iraqis. There are totalitarian regimes all over the world that we not only tolerate but do business with (as Cheney did when he was with Halliburton). We are in Iraq because the neocons thought they could engender democracy in the middle east and rebuild the region in a way favorable to the US. So far, that plan hasn't worked out so well.
