Guess what? His voice mail box is full - hopefully with messages in opposition to the FISA bill. Is there another number, even a fax number, so we can keep up the pressure on him?

Let's see, how about we take "The Wizard of Oz" and strip all the joy, humor, irony, and wonder out of it, and turn it into a ugly, tedious piece of crap?

You spend more time chiding scientific, rational thinking for being intolerant of religious thinking, but your fallacy here is that, in reality, religious certainty is more intractable and stubborn than rational thinking. All the people I know who are rational thinkers concede greater tolerance toward those with religious beliefs than visa versa. And, when it comes to the principle of "Do no harm", history clearly illustrates that religion has done much more harm than science and rationality.
The problem for your message is that those who most need to hear it are not interested and will not listen.

I agree completely with everything you've argued here. BUT, in addition to your list of reasons that pundits like Gibson and Stephanopoulos continue the reprehensible "journalism" so sadly displayed last night, you might add that they also love their paychecks and, in order to maintain said paychecks, they must please the big bosses. It's all about the money. I don't for one minute believe that people like G and S do anything without considering their own sorry asses. Call me cynical.
