Original article: First lady got back

Well, If I recall correctly...

Freddy Mercury once sang: "Fat bottom girls make the rockin' world go round".

I am not one to argue with the late, great Freddy Mercury, OK?

Obama said CHANGE!! Yeah, sure.

Same bunch of plutocrats and their enablers. Just a different political party.

YUCK!!

Sunday, November 23, 2008 09:24 AM

With Neroism in fashion now...

I'm now libergressive - inward, downward, backward, dissolute, with both progressive and liberal amounts of burning-your-candle-at-both-ends piled on high.

Mmmmm, it's the American way.

*Yeeehaw!*

Original article: Shop and awe

Spend, spend, spend. Save, save, save...

Does not compute.

Monday, December 15, 2008 09:41 PM

Our royal family... *barf*

This country has got one royally sick trip with that family. And for the current governator of California a social climbers wet dream.

Tuesday, December 16, 2008 01:02 PM

Prosperity is around the corner... *snort*

Right now the current econo-meme is that we'll bottom out at the end of 09 and start turning around. That sure sounds a little "frothy" to me.

Monday, December 22, 2008 06:40 AM

Total bourgeois indulgence. I couldn't finish reading this article.

Are you lonely, honey? Go to Darfur and walk around for a few days with and empty stomach and see if the doesn't help you learn to count your blessings, you middle class boobs.

...Sheesh!!

Next time you fill up your gas tank (yes, you too ladies)...

Think long and hard about this post.

@Phylmom

Hmm. I applaud your effort.

Luckily I don't own or have to own a car. I eat Jarlsberg cheese, and I know the country that makes it is unnecessarily killing whales; and I'm not happy about that. *shame on me*

I suppose one can't hold it against a single mother working for minimum wage if she can't afford one of those snazzy (expensive) hybrids. But then again, I'm sure you know the larger point I'm making...

I can draw a straight line from our oil addiction to the Bin Laden family that produced that rogue plutocrat named Osama.

Now, make your bed America!

@Phylmom

Well, I don't know, but someone might say you're giving Chavez support. Chavez who is becoming really close friends with that other "president" from Russia (nice guy, no doubt). I used to like Chavez, but he's becoming rather scary.

Hey, the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and may you feel better about buying Venezuelan gas.

I guess what I'm saying is: doing business with ugly regimes (like the Al Saud family) is like taking the tiger by the tail. How can we hold any of our country's values true if we do business with people who are directly opposed to some of our most basic ones.

You know... (heh,heh) Karma.

I hear you, honey.

Most, er, a lot of people would give up their cars if they could. I aplaud your effort.

And with regards to your feelings about how Saudi Arabia treats women, I'm totally on the same page as you.

Gee, if I were America instead of stupid little fraction of it, I wouldn't by things from people who treat women that way.

Actually, both sides of this debate are correct.

I used to be able to do simple head math, then calculators came along. Head math? Gone!! But now I never make stupid math mistakes and my check book always balances.

I love my Google. I love my Wiki. I have drunk the Kool-aid!

Fox News people are idiots with Iron-clad agendas...

Flapping the severely clipped wings (as in nuts) in the vacuum of their own balloon juice.

Mr. Greenwald, you deserve a purple heart, or something, for dealing with those icky people.

Oh Klytus, I need to give you some trolling lessons, honey bunny.

Are you writing poetry? And the double-space posting business has ding-ding written all over it, hon - yes I know it's Christmas. And what in heaven's going on with that name? Klytus? Is that some new sub-genus of Chlamydia, or something?

Oh Klytus, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy Klyt 'or us New Year to you too.

Well I bet 37 percent is pretty on-target. Almost a million women and children get drawn into human sex slave trace EVERY YEAR. Somebody is making this profitable. And I bet you anything it's not women paying for these services. 37% does not sound like BS to me.

This is the first time I've ever heard this guy.

Kids, this Rick Warren is making my gaydar go off like an air-raid siren. Like, he opens his mouth and the dress falls out.

*Amen*

Of the rich, by the rich, for the rich.

Equality may be the presumption in this country, but the fact that Ms. Kennedy (and many others) think that she's a viable candidate solely on her "qualifications" only belies the real truth of the matter.

Monday, December 29, 2008 06:51 AM

@cestmoi123: Great suggestion!

Don't hold your breath, though. The rich never just give their money away (except maybe Ludwig Wittgenstein). The rich lock their money away in trusts that earn big dividends of which they then give a portion away and roll the rest over back into the trust; thus walking away with nifty tax write-offs!

Monday, December 29, 2008 08:58 AM

Falling flat, huh?

Push hard enough and that's what they do. I assume the same thing happens for the plasma variety, too.

Monday, December 29, 2008 05:07 PM

C.K. admits to rarely voting? Is this true?

If so... Whew!! Such chutzpa (something rich people have in as much abundance as money). She has just disqualified herself as far as I'm concerned.

Boehner is already moaning and groaning about this.

The Republicans better be careful about filibustering legislation, it could lead to the perception that all they are is a bunch of sore losers throwing a big fat wrench in the works. Haven't they already done enough damage, including to their own credibility?

Obama, wisely, is not bragging about his political capital (how quickly that can vanish). Obama doesn't need to because he actually has more than capital, he's got a real honest to God mandate from the electorate.
