For gawd's sake, grow up! There are hundreds of thousands of children, in the U.S. and around the world, who await adoption. Why can't all you people — women and men — who are so desperate for progeny think of their needs instead of your own selfish, childish, imagistic wants?
Who were the other women wearing that Oscar de la Renta?
I know it's absurd to conflate Barak Obama with Osama bin Laden — but I also think it is no accident. Just yesterday, on a right-wing, nationally broadcast talk radio show, the host chortled about "Barak Osama Obama."
And warned he'd be right back with more.
No doubt he was.
Sorry, guys, but I heard the NPR Terry Gross interview with David Sheff and his son Nic. Nic is either terribly immature or a total imbecile. Every other word out of his mouth was "like" or "uh" or "ya'know." I think writings by a man whose son is so far off the beam and/or by the son himself are useless — or worse. They delude other Americans with notions of salvation.
I have just three comments.
1 - I am a Hillary Clinton supporter, but I find Barak Obama quite interesting and intelligent.
2 - I am appalled by the MSM's hatred of Hillary and FOX's/AM talk radio's hatred of Obama.
3 - I am hoping against hope that we Democrats can stay focused on taking back the WH.
Alex Koppelman, you are a hateful creature.
As someone else commented weeks ago, if you think this bashing of Hillary is just about her or about the Clintons as a couple, think again. This time, think how the populous and the popular media would treat ANY of the women with enough prominence to run for president.
Aha! Gotcha!
Regarding Joan Walsh's column on Keith Olbermann's most recent anti-Clinton remark:
One "poster" suggested that we offended feminists "get over it"..."move on."
We would be happy to do so i: (1) males and some females did not refer to strong women in nouns that do not merit a place in political dialogue; (2) those who claim it's just Hillary whom they hate would start working to elect another accomplished woman; and (3) women with comparable skills and education earned the same as or more than men.
According to the Southwest Women's Law Center (chart in the Santa Fe New Mexican, April 23, 2008), women across the U.S. earn 77 cents for every $1 men earn; in some very poor and very rich areas, women earn only 62 cents for every $1 men earn.
So go ahead. Tell me to what location I should "move on" and how I should "get over" such debilitating discrimination. And while you're at it, tell Mr. Olbermann to "get over" himself.
Just reinforces that patriotism is the last refuge of scoundrels.

Anyone who is paying attention knows that the media — including Salon.com — has been mean to Hillary and has apparently had a very good, time of it. Same with lots of men and even, god help us, lots of women.
The sexism is blatant, as is the underlying classism. If you don't believe the latter is in play, go back and read the long article Sally Quinn wrote for the Washington Post just as the Clintons came on the scene.
Now we will get months of racism b/c, my fellow Americans, this ugliness shows us as we are.
I am not a single issue voter, but unless a candidate agrees with me that a woman has the right to choose her own destiny — including the right to a legal abortion — I have no use for him or her.
Why? Because that candidate (1) thinks he is smarter/better/holier than any woman or (2) he so disrespects women that he does not care what happens to them.
Please stop carrying Camillle Paglia. She is as bad as Maureen Dowd when it comes to the Clintons. I have no interest in reading their screeds. And so I don't.
But even the headers are annoying and ugly.
Time for a change. Kinder and brighter are better.
Thank all the powers of heaven and earth. One more Bush is three more than I could stand.
I will never forgive Arlen Specter for his efforts to distort the words and discombobulate the manner of Anita Hill. Further, his "defense" of Clarence Thomas was unfortunate. Finally, his actions helped to elevate Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court. Unforgivable!
Please! Somebody with influence! Tell Tom Daschle to withdraw like a gentleman. Making excuses for taking all that money to give "strategic advice," failing to pay taxes on a "gift," and being married to a lobbyist should all disqualify him from service in the Obama administration.
He HAD to go. Way too much baggage.
And I second again and again the nomination of Dean.
That's Howard Dean, not John Dean. Big difference.
Why would anyone listen to the creepy Kagans?
And Robert Kagan is...ugh!...sloppy with fat!
Does anyone remember the 20-something who was charged with opening the Baghdad stock exchange just after we invaded Iraq? And who actually closed it by forgetting to pay the rent? Where is he now? I imagine him as an aide to a CPAC member.
valjeanb has it all wrong. The article on CNBC clearly states that the Wall Street closing bell rings at 4 p.m. Why would he make up the 4:30 p.m. closing time? Let's all guess, separately and together.
I like tomreedtoon's suggestions of how Erica Ferencik and other realtors should spend eternity.
I would add just one tweek to his posting. On their one day per year out of hell and in a refrigerator box, they should have to face an endless loop of "Glengarry Glen Ross."
