  • "Obama has been propped up by powerbrokers"

[Read the article: Edwards endorsing Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Yup, great Senators like Richard Durbin have given Obama a lot of help along the way. And I think that's just great because DURBIN NEVER SUPPORTED BUSH'S FUCKING WAR! HE STOOD AGAINST THE 70% OF THE FUCKTARDS IN THIS COUNTRY AND SAID NO!

  • @-- Patrick Morgan

[Read the article: Steelworkers follow Edwards]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I'd like to think that cooperation instead of extortion, on Clinton's part, would be the best path to securing a role in any Obama administration.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"Does is really look to you like Hillary Clinton in any way is willing to cooperate with Obama?"

I agree, at this point it I am fairly pessimistic. It's too bad because I think that Clinton could contribute a lot to Obama's administration, if there is one. I think holding out and attempting influence by extortion will be a no-starter with Obama.

  • So Bush tells us

[Read the article: Bush seems to attack Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    1. Keep ignoring the recommendations of the Baker-Hamilton report - No surprises here

    2. The voting patterns of American Jews can be manipulated by specious references to Hitler and the hollocaust - Lemme know how that works out

Agree with those here who are impressed by Obama's consistent handling of these attacks. Stay calm, stay rational, stay on message and hit back during the same news cycle.

  • CNN just showed a 2006

[Read the article: "Hardball": Barack Obama is no Neville Chamberlain ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

interview with John McCain where old gramps is stressing the need to negotiate directly with Hamas. I sure-as-shit hope every network carries this on the evening news.

[Read the article: How will Barack Obama get to 270?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

interview with McCain where he stresses the need to negotiate directly with Hamas as the only realistic approach. I pray that America stands up and takes notice. This sort of shit should sink him.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"He could have dismissed Bushes suggestion by simply stating talking is not appeasement and then explain the history in about two sentences."

That's the strategy of a loser, like Kerry. Every time Bush opens his mouth he should be kicked into the gutter and stomped to a bloody fucking pulp. ***YOU*** are the appeaser.

  • All of these conservative attacks

on Obama never seem to be accompanied by a vigorous endorsement of McCain...

[Read the article: Are the Jews good for Barack Obama?]

thought this country is headed in the wrong direction. These are the folks who will vote for Obama. McCain has bigger problems with his own base than Obama has with "The Jews".

So when did Richard Durbin become "The Enforcer"? He seems to have the respect of the few remaining adults in Washington, Republican or Democrat. Got anything to back up your statements or just talking out your ass again?

  • @timbuktom

[Read the article: News from Israel: Bush wants to attack Iran soon]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I often wondered how loud the Repubs would howl if a lame-duck Democratic president put US troops in harms way as Bush 1 did.

I think it's saber-rattling, at least I hope it is. We simply don't have the troops to engage in any ground war with Iran. Dipshit might try some missile strikes but that would only inflame the Shia population in the region and risks turning them all on the US troops in Iraq. Suicidal but, sadly, plausible.

Sounds like the same garbage that comes out of Saudi Arabia but we hold hands with them, literally. Even though their citizens attacked us on 9/11 and the Saudi Government executed any witnesses/perps before the FBI could interview them. Then our own government had to classify 23 pages of the 9/11 Commission Report because it might negatively affect our relations with Saudi Arabia...

BTW, when did Obama claim he would meet with Hamas' Cultural Minister? What is the role of Hamas' Cultural Minister in diplomatic protocal?

At my first business dinner in Kentucky, about 1988, our client told me "you let them n*****s run wild up in Chicago; we keep 'em DOWN, down here." This was in a business setting...

  • Illinois Is In Play

[Read the article: Almost all Kentucky precincts in, big victory for Clinton]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Laughable. As bad as some of the Illinois Democrats are, they are still head-and-shoulders above the hairballs puked up by the Illinois Repubs in the past few years;

George Ryan - Now in prison for License-for-bribe scandal which directly resulted in the immoliation deaths of 6 children

Jim Ryan - sent the same innocent man to death row on 3 separate occasions and dosen't see anything wrong with that. Hint: the guy was Mexican.

Jack Ryan - Won the 2006 Republican Primary to run against Obama but had to drop out when his divorce papers revealed a penchant for swingers clubs and cocaine.

Judy Barr-Topinka (started life as a man)

Jim Oberweiss - Milk-Mogul and proponent of indentured servitude.

    and my favorite

Alan Keyes - Replaced Jack Ryan and was supposed to wrest the "negroe vote" from Obama.

On top of that, the special election for Dennis Hassert's House Seat was just won by a Democrat and the Illinois Repubs have basically given up on taking Richard Durbin's seat.

If you want a preview of what the Republican party might look like after an ass-kicking in Nov, take a look at Illinois today.

[Read the article: Is McCain's campaign in trouble?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

the primaries behind them, the next great political bloodletting will be within the Republican Party. It will be fun to watch the party stalwarts draft a pro-torture, deport-the-Mexicans platform for McCain to adopt.

You are correct. GE is both the world's largest defense contractor and single largest polluter with over $50 billion in potential cleanup liability. Nice that they had the forsight to buy their own network and news organization.

  • Clinton could simply "suspend" her campaign

[Read the article: What does the Clinton campaign's denial mean?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

without conceding. This would allow Obama to move on and make the best case for himself up to the convention. If, by some chance, he is tanking in the polls come convention time, Clinton could still woo delegates and secure the nomination. Just conjecture.
