The Democrats
[Read the article: Dean wants superdelegates to come to a quick decision]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]would benefit more from resolving this issue before the convention than they would from dragging this out for 4.5 months. Overall, they need to hammer home a united message that McCain is simply a 3rd term for Bush. The sooner the get on that message, the better.
Not that a brokered convention would be the end of the world, but they are burning daylight. It really doesn't surprise me that we are in this place after 8 years of Bush. It reflects how radically his behavior has affected Americans. I believe that a lot of the intra-party anger is a reflection of just how outraged we are about the current administration and how passionately we want to change it. Both Clinton and Obama advocates. Change is painful and we are in the midst of that pain.

We're turning the

When Obama said that
[Read the article: Hillary's team crosses the line]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]he was going to run a "different" type of campaign, I personally interpreted that to mean that he would not allow himself to be swift-boated the way Kerry was. I took that to mean that any attack on him would be met with at equal or stronger response within the same news cycle. So far, that has been exactly the case.

Hmmm, I am doubtful
[Read the article: Limbaugh off the hook for voter fraud ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"he was asserting that he has operatives that will be delegates at the Democratic Convention and they will be vetted so no one will know who they are and depending on how the vote goes he will tell them how to vote through some hand held devices so he can sway the vote."
My first question is what would motivate delegates to be his "operatives." There may be a sad sole or two that posess some bizarre need for his approval but, other than that, he would need to offer bribes. If he planned on offering bribes, he wouldn't be telegraphing it on his show. That is a criminal conspiracy.
I never listen to this blowhard, but I understand that he is calling this whole thing "Operation Chaos". My read is that his proclamations are formulated on a daily basis with the basic intent of throwing gas on the fire and causing as much chaos as possible. He's doing a good job at that. If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, then baffle them with bullshit.

I would bet
[Read the article: Limbaugh off the hook for voter fraud ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]that at least 10% of Limbaugh's regular audience is prohibited by law from voting due to their felony records. Just a guess.

"Losing steam until November"
[Read the article: Obama picks up new superdelegate support]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Nov 1-3 isn't a lot of time to make up lost ground.

The only words that Clinton
[Read the article: Obama: Clinton "deserves to be able to run"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]supporters want to hear from Obama are "I quit." Anything else he says on any subject will be mercilessly attached by the shrill, nagging masses.

The 3 a.m. call has already been made
[Read the article: Yet another "3 a.m." ad released]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]twice this year, but it was our government calling out to the private sector for help. The first was to Bank of America when it became obvious that Countrywide Mortgage was going down; the second to JPMorgan Chase when Bear Sterns tanked. These buyouts happened, literally, overnight in an effort to deflect a market disaster. No lengthy FTC, SEC or DOJ reviews and not a peep of objection from Republicans or Democrats. If you want to see who wields the true power in this nation, look to those banks.

There is a just deity

[Read more letters about this article: Here]which is why the glass water bong is being phased out for the Volcano. She just works on a longer time scale than humans can appreciate.

[Read the article: Lieberman, Graham take a misguided victory lap]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]dreamily blethering on about an Iraq that would not subject to Iranian influece or expansionism; code talk for "we'll be there forever."

Shia, Sunni, who cares....
[Read the article: McCain gets confused about al-Qaida again]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If the American public had the attention span for these sorts of nuances we wouldn't be there in the first place. Most folks are probably happy that McCain's simplifying the whole thing for them.

These guys
[Read the article: Larry Craig has David Vitter's back]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]really ought to form their own party.

@jpincus
[Read the article: The central front in the "war on terror"?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"Liberals have either gotten used to finding fault where no fault exists or forgotten how to analyze texts properly. Either way, the article's conclusions are wrong and its arrogant pronouncement about the Bush administration is contradicted by the Ambassador's own statement."
I disagree. The real problem lies with the fact that the Bush administration has misrepresented the war from the very beginning. I'm not going to waste time and space listing all of the instances of the egregious lies, it's all well documented. Conservatives have to accept the fact that the lies of Bush administration are viewed by most of the nation, and the world at large, as systemic and not the result of a few individuals. The short, sad answer is that, regardless of the personal veracity of the General or the Ambassador, they work for an administration with no credibility and no amount of hairsplitting is going to change that.

@dkmoorehead
[Read the article: House Republican blasts Obama as "that boy"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"that use of the word "boy" was not intentional."
I agree. It came out quite naturally without a 2nd thought. His racism is hard-wired.

Pop Culture Patriots
[Read the article: The fallout from the Democratic debate]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I guess it would be elitist for me to observe that the woman who was so concerned about Obama's lack of lapel pin was not wearing one herself.

WES's words

We have no problem with Buckwheat being the nominee, but he has to pay proper tribute to Darla.

@georgepo
[Read the article: Senator Hothead]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Yeah, I thought the same thing watching This Week. By the end of 12 minutes, McCain's plastered-on smile had turned to gritted teeth. I'd like to see how he'd last in a 90 min. debate. It's up to the democratic surrogates to push his buttons HARD from now on.

@Strangely Enough
[Read the article: McCain "glad" to have radical preacher's support]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]McCain denounced Hagee's attacks on Catholics but not the man himself (obviously).
