Original article: Olbermann's wasted moment

At least he did it....

Keith's preaching often reminds me of my dad's, when I was a kid: too long, too preachy, too self-impressed....yet still truthful, and more accurate than not. My husband, a very liberal guy, won't even watch Keith anymore. Stress level gets way too high. But I, (perhaps because of my experience with Dad) sat faithfully through Keith's show. My conclusion? AT LEAST HE DID IT...took a strong position, stood up for what he thinks, made his best attempt, put his show on the line...to try to help the cause. If WE do OUR part; stand up and be vocal; we CAN help get a powerful bill, ideally with a 'public option' passed.

Original article: The 10 best movies of 2008

Slumdog Millionaire...

....is an absolute MUST SEE! Besides a terrific, warm & wonderful love story, everyone needs this education & insight into Mumbai & India. Beautiful. Poignant. Haunting.

Trees rot or grow from the top

Barack will set the direction that his appointments will march towards. He needs the veterans to get the work completed effectively....everyody can't be new ~ it'd take forever for them to get up to speed to get anything done!

Naw...have the faith of a mustard seed here, my friends. Barack knows exactly what he's doing. And he's pragmatic enough to get the job done. Let's spend any negative energies second-guessing what damage Bush & Paulson can be doing in the next two months, and have confidence in the guy we overwhelmingly elected!

Original article: McCain loses again

Obama's better, but he doesn't get in if we don't VOTE

Joan, you are absolutely right again!

Obama's superiority as our next leader becomes even more evident when you download the full text of the debates, read the actual questions & responses, without the benefit or distraction of the visuals.

I do that after every debate or major speech. It's really telling.

BUT...we've GOT TO VOTE! All of our months of blogging, discussion, articles .... mean NOTHING if we don't take the 30 minutes to go to the polls to vote.

If there's EARLY VOTING in your state, go do it! I went 2 days ago & there were no lines ~ in & out in 5 minutes. GO VOTE! GO VOTE! You're vote IS critical! OBAMA/BIDEN 2008-2016!

Tried 'n True Remedy....VOTE

We can complain all we want, point out all that is wrong, until we are blue in the face.

The ONLY WAY to fix this is to VOTE FOR OBAMA/BIDEN. Make sure you vote. Make sure others vote. We can't 'Monday-morning quarterback' this.

As we like to say in Chicago.... "Vote Early.... Vote Often".....

VOTE & let Republicans SHADDOWBOX

When we 'fight' back as loudly & as frequently as the Republicans attack, we HELP THEM discover where they're being effective & what the next attack & slander should be. Sure, the Obama/Biden CAMPAIGN has to officially respond, as a matter of course, but..... Here's how WE REALLY win this election: WE DON'T REACT TO THEIR ATTACKS. Yup. We IGNORE them! Let 'em spend tons & tons of money SHADDOWBOXing. Silently, quietly, we register as many voters as we can, make sure WE vote & we encourage everyone we know to vote (even drive voters to the polls)...and WE WILL GET THE JOB DONE! On November 5th the GOP will be spinning in circles, wondering what happened; why all the slander didn't work... IT'S TIME FOR CONSTRUCTIVE, QUIET, POWERFUL ACTION! NOW!!!

Excellent point....

So many times I read great articles like this one in Salon.com and muse 'wouldn't it be great if someone made sure that Obama or Biden actually received this information, so they could use it?

On global warming, I'd love to hear one of these guys say 'You know, if someone wants to kill himself, one of the most common methods is to turn on an automobile in a closed garage and sit there for a few minutes. Bingo. Why do we have such a difficult time envisioning the concept that millions and millions of cars/trucks/planes/factories/powerplants billowing tons and tons of waste into the air every day, is the same thing; only slightly offset by the trees/forests that we are busy cutting down at an alarming rate?'
