  • Someone dumber than Bush

[Read the article: License to lie]

The fact is, and was, that the WTC attack on 9/11 was an inside operation coordinated through, among many others, Marvin Bush and the Office of the Vice President.

Professor Steven Jones of the Physics Department at Brigham Young University has painstakingly assembled all of the remaining physical evidence, making the his conclusion inescapable.

    -----------------------------------------------

Do this letter writer work for the Bush administration? Because the appaling lack of logic is the same.

Steven Jones has ZERO background in engineering and structural anaylsis and doesn't even understand basic types of concrete. In terms of WTC conclusions he's a quack right up there with those who claim we didn't land on the Moon or that the Earth is flat.

Simply saying Thermite bombs doesn't make it true.

Find any reputatable structural engineer who backs Jones' claims. They find him laughable.

The LW is making the same mistake that Bush and his ilk do, looking for support for a point of view instead of ensuring that the evidence is more than superfacial.

  • It snows in Paris nearly every year

It's not a ton of snow, but Paris does get snow far more often than once every 50 years.

  • Feinstein lost my support

because of her support for this childish amdendment. I'll no longer endorse her nor contribute to her campaign.

One problem Democrats have with the issue is a number of television personalities that end up being indentified with Democrats really have no respect for the Colors. Example, Bill Maher was doing a segment and he used the Flag as a prop, not only did he not fold it correctly, but he actually dropped it on the floor behind his desk. That doesn't sit will with me, and certainly irks many others as well.

What the Flag stands for, Liberty, is far more important that the physical aspects of the Flag. This amendment attacks the essence of the flag in an attempt to protect it.

  • Why the amendment has anyone supporting it

    is answered by this

"Why? I've burned a flag (more than one) and I've stood on a flag; I also refused to stand for the National Anthem when I was in high school--we were the last public school in the country to be subjected to this daily morning ritual. i feel the same now as I did then, though I'm a responsible adult with a full time job and barely ever have the urge to protest anything. Why must the government try to enforce false patriotism? The flag is a piece of fabric. It holds no more power than a blanket or a scarf--or a stars and strips bathmat, boxer shorts, tanktop, welcome mat, etc. When will it be criminal to put old glory on your ass?"

This tiny minority of anti-Americans is why people feel safe in attacking the First Amendement with this stupid bill.

Saluting the Flag is not a false patriotism, in fact, it's a time to remember the sacrifices that people have made to the cause of liberty, and a time to reflect upon how we can improve our country.

The flag is more than a bathmat or tanktop, it's a symbol of what American is at her best and what she can be. Our Country is not perfect, but the Flag represents the idea perfection. We may never completely meet that goal, but we should always strive toward it.

That some people have to take the Liberty attained by the sacrifice of others and use this freedom to descrecrate the symbols of that freedom is a shame. While I and others may defend your right to be an asshole, do not think we approve of your actions. We do not.

  • How fitting that Bozo supports the wacko theories

Really, you almost have to assume it's a troll post.

BTW, the buildings do not fall at the speed of gravity, and if they were a controlled explosion, they still wouldn't fall at the speed of gravity.

It's easy to see objects falling faster than the buildings are falling. Because it seems that Bozo doesn't understand Jr. High phyiscs, I'll remind you that all objects fall at the same speed. Only air resistance makes a difference.
