Male Sex not always pleasurable
[Read the article: When "yes" means "'cause if I say 'no' he'll be mad"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The reason that young men (or maybe all men) have what we define as a "stronger desire" for sex is that sex for men is ALWAYS pleasurable....it always feels good and it always ends in orgasm.
-----------------------------------------------------------
I don't know where you get this incredible false information but it is blantantly untrue.
Male to female intercourse can be painful for the man, and I know many men who have experienced such pain and I have myself, nor does it always end in a male orgasm.

[Read the article: Did Al get the science right?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]the Canadian effort doesn't matter much in the face of the US dumping 25% of the world's greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
-----------------------------------------------------------
The US doesn't dump 25% of the World's greenhouse gases, the US dumps about 25% of Gross Manmade greenhouse gases, and that's a huge difference, since manmade gasses make up less than 1% of the total greenhouse gasses released.
Also, because of the amount of plant life in the US, we take in more CO2 than a comparable amount of land in Canada.
The problem with how global warming is present is that humans make up a very small part of the picture. It could very possibly be true that this small part is enough to tip the balance, but it's also a fact that even if all human released CO2 was eliminated that 99% of released CO2 would still exist.
We should try and reduce CO2 emmissions, we should try to reduce the amount of Net CO2 by planting fast growing plant material, but most of all we should prepare because global warming is coming, it's just argument over the degree.

Crazy speak again
[Read the article: Salon interview: Harry Reid]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Come back down to reality.
Impeachment can't only be about whether the President has committed high crimes and misdemeanors, it also has to take into account the future of our nation, and the simple fact is exchanging Bush for Cheney does nothing but swap one out of control executive for one that's even worse.
No President in US history has been removed from office via impeachment conviction and with Bush having two years left now is not the time to break that history.
To those who don't want to support Democratic senators because of Liberman, grow up. Seriously, grow up and stop acting like a spoiled child.
Democrats lose elections because so many Democrats are immature spoiled little voters who if they can't get everything they want, they actively work against their own side. It's pathetic and it's why we are in the minority at this point.

Rebuttal
[Read the article: Salon interview: Harry Reid]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Xanthro: Democrats lose elections because so many Democrats are immature spoiled little voters who if they can't get everything they want, they actively work against their own side. It's pathetic and it's why we are in the minority at this point.
----------------------------------------
gttim:One of the stupidest statements I have seen in years. Dems lose elections because they run as Republican Lite. If Dems step up to the plate with a backbone, they would win. Of course many Dems are Republican Lite because they are not liberals, they are actually conservatives that like the status quo and want to see corporate America continue to get tax cuts, subsidies and laws that prevent competition with them.
==========================================
What you call Republican Lite is actually the Democractic majority by far.
What the left wing of the Democratic party thinks as liberal makes up less than a third of the Democratic party as a whole. Sure, this group has a large amount of influence in the CDC, just as the minority Christian right has influence with the Republicans, but neither group can win in a general election and rarely even win in their respective primaries.
Exactly how well did Judge Moore do in this last primary? About as well as Howard Dean did in 2004. That is, horribly.
The difference is that the right wing of the Republican party cares about winning elections, so they still work, campaign and vote Republican, while the left wing of the Democratic party bitches and complains during the General Election about the Democratic candidate.
That's why we lose these close elections. Our losses are not caused by some fantasy vision where the Democratic candidate is not liberal enough. There are not throngs of liberal voters out there that just need to be motivated, there aren't even throngs of liberal voters in the Democratic party itself.
Don't confuse depth of conviction with breadth or we will continue to lose elections because of our own stupidity.
