Intelligent Design is Anti-Christian

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Bluntly stated, Intelligent Design is anti-Christian and its acceptance forces the acceptance of an anti-Christian deity.
Intelligent Design was around long before Creationism and was debated by the Greeks in antiquity. Their conclusion was that the World was created by a lessor God because a Greater God would not make as many mistakes, and that an evil god wouldn't create good. Nothing has really changed in the 3,000 years hence.
All ID aderents such as Behe preach a limited God is responsible for the design. The Christian God is not limited and could make the natural laws as desired.
No ID thought teaches this. ID is modern Shamanism and not modern Creationism. If ID is accepted then it disproves the Bible rather!!

If a religion called for the rape then murder of childern, no matter how deeply the faith was felt, people would be correct to be appalled and oppose that reglion.
When members of the Islamic faith decide to interpret their religion in a manner that calls for the death of civilians, then they have also forfeited any expectation of respect or tolerance, and must be stomped out the same as the above.
The danger with Islam is that the islamic equal of Freds Phelps is becaming increasingly in charge. It's not that moderate Muslims are under assualt from both sides, it's that too many refuse to stand up against abuses from other Muslims. This is partially because of fear, because the posibility of serious harm by another Muslim is quite high, but if the non-extremist part of Islam does not start fighting back, then Islam itself will be lost as a great religion.
It would be as if Fred Phelps represented all Christians.

Notice how relgion, in this case Islam, is no longer a choice or a preference, it is now reduced to an unchangeable aspect such as race or ethincity.
This shows how far too many Muslims cannot accept anything outside his or her own religion. Religion is no longer a choice but something you are born into.

No, such a cartoon is not inherently nor innately saying all Muslims are racists. What such a cartoon shows is that Islam is becoming associated with terrorists. Do you actually deny this?
What percentage of suicide bombings are carried out by Muslims? What percentage of attacks against civilians are carried out by Muslims? Answer, a far greater percentage that Muslims consist of the World wide population.
Because far too many followers refuse to condem such attacks, some because they fear violence from other Musilms, Islam is assualting itself.
Sure violence has doubled against Muslims, but that's because it was very low to begin with, and the countries in question care enough to actually study the issue. What Muslim dominated country has reports that condem attacks against religious minorities?

What violence? Exactly how many Muslims have been killed in the Western World in the past ten years in because they were Muslim? 10 maybe 100. Now exactly how many non-Muslims have been killed by Muslims in the Western world in the past ten years? Over 4,000.
Notice the HUGE difference?
How many non-Muslims can be seen celebrating and passing out candies when a Muslim is killed? Zero. How many Muslims could be seen doing the same after an attack by Muslims against non-Muslims? Millions.
The simple fact remains that there are millions of Muslims who actively advocate violence in the name of religion. There are 100s of millions who don't, but there are only a handful who dare speak out against those that do. Therefore the minority has begun to speak for the majority and has hijacked Islam.
Islam is not threatened by any depiction of the prophet, whether postive or negative. Islam is only threaten when people who profess to be of the faith violate the basic tenents of that faith.
