Your points are well-taken, but unfortunately, you omit the converse discrimination that existed during those periods, discrimination that still exists today. During those earlier decades, men faced the loss of their children during divorce, along with punitive child support obligations, while women usually ended up with children during divorce, and, in the rare cases where women were due to pay child support, the court orders were rarely enforced.
Though the discrimination against women that you describe is largely gone, the anti-male discrimination that existed during the 30s, 40s and 50s I relate above is still largely in place.
Similarly to those eras, anti-male stereotypes about domestic violence (men can only be perpetrators) and child molestation (female adults were given a free pass in court) still exist in our legal system.
If American feminists were truly interested in "equality" they would address these issues. Unfortunately, there is a long track record of denial and prevarication where this anti-male discrimination is concerned, and most feminist organizations seem dedicated to perpetuating these distorted, negative stereotypes that harm men and boys.
Hopefully that will change in the future.
Hahahaha! Very funny post!

Cunt.
And I mean that in an Elizabeth Hoffmann, nice, kind of way.
Of course I do
Let the Entitled White Females begin their tirade!
No wonder there's a marriage strike on here. There's one underway in India, too, Anita, as long as anti-male domestic violence laws do away with men's basic civil rights.
Just bring hubby back here, and he'll marvel at you in contrast to the lumbering, angry, rotund hordes of entitled, slavering white women in this country.
Enjoy!
Is as gay as a parade.
Gay, gay, gay.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

& should've majored in chemistry.
MOst women in America are not marriage material.
It's either "Girls Gone Wild" or angry, chip-on-the-shoulder feminist.
Perhaps that's why Russian and Japanese dating services cater almost exclusively to American men, and why women's groups put so many legal barriers up to prevent them from operating successfully.
Back at ya, bitch.
Why does everyone on this blog give that trampy whore the benefit of the doubt? The one who stole John Edwards away from his wife.
Oh, wait. Only men are responsible for their actions, that's right! Women have no agency and are victims of Teh Patriarky!
BS Blogroll confirms it is so!
Yep. Whores and parasites abound, especially gravitating to a man making money.
Good job. We all know men are supposed to take responsibility for their marriages, as their wives are passive blobs.
The traditional feminist absence of women's agency lives on.
And Bill Clinton lied, too. Hillary lied about Whitewater.
Is her nonsexual lie less offensive because it's a woman's lie and because it has nothing to do with sex?
At least John Edwards didn't vote for a war which has claimed >4,000 American lives to date. And he didn't moan about being "oppressed" after disclosing $109 million in household income.
Do we need any more prudish, entitled white female scolds in this country? We seem to be producing them in spades.
Sorry, didn't mean to point out any negatives about Hillary.
I realize that's a "no-go zone" on this site....
You're right. The $53 trillion deathbomb which we are facing deserves more press, but sells less ad space on the feminist rags.
From the Christian Science Monitor:
"It's true that the $482 billion deficit chasm estimated for fiscal year 2009 doesn't look so deep when taken as a percentage of the overall economy – 3.3 percent of gross domestic product compared to the 1983 nadir of about 6 percent.
But this is just one "mortgage" that the federal government (i.e., taxpayers) must meet. It owes on all the deficits it has accumulated over the years (the national debt), and it has jumbo liabilities to come in the form of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
Adding all those liabilities together, the government has dug itself into a $53 trillion fiscal hole – the equivalent of $175,000 per person living in the United States. If the White House and Congress continue to follow the do-nothing plan, in another 30 years or so the federal government will spend more than twice as much as it raises in taxes. "
Teh intertubes is skary! Girly wants no b00bs on intertubes!
Post-term retroactive abortion.
Where is the feminist sympathy???
you should submissively cower and refer to them as "Madame".
American men should show proper deference to their betters.
Bow, males. Bow.
Complain if no product is being developed, and the patriarchal pharma companies are discriminating against women, or complain about the product being developed, as it's an example of a product that will be "pushed on women who may have different medical or psychological issues preventing them from wanting and enjoying sex?"
Just keep complaining, and we will remember we live in America, where women like to complain.
Maybe they could all just bring their cupcakes to the Democratic Convention and bitch about Hillary being snubbed by the Dems:

All males must register for the Selective Service, ongoing draft, or not.
